1. if you decided to sell your old phone, the better looking phone is more likely to sell than the fugly one.
2. Sturdy case will protect your phone better from dent/scratch than a slim (transparent) ones. The less scratch / wear mark on your phone, the easier it is to sell it again.
3. Maybe that's the reason why most manufacture opt to focus on the front side, because the back side rarely matters.

what is the sense of the design factor is i would be wearing a case for my phone?why not design a phone that is ugly and design a good looking/luxurious case.

Samsung cases are way over priced here in canada 90$ plus taxes for the S view case thats nuts
