If you implement new tehnology then upgrade also the radio comunication. Radio is a very simple tehnology. This is proof that Nokia was and will always be a top hardware creater where as all the other competitors, this case HTC, are week.
I also have a HTC product, don`t have any signal problems, but in closed spaces like elevators and my office the signal is far weeker than in Nokia or other older generation smartphones.
Clearly an ignored aspect.

First 'fake' unibody, second signal issues which HTC denies even though it is so obviously proven by many people. Just get a normal phone with a plastic case. Sigh. I don't trust HTC anymore.

HTC always deny everything. My old Desire is unable to keep a stable 3G-connection, and Desire Z have had problem with Swedish letters ÅÄÖ from day one almost a year ago without HTC even bothered to fix this fatal problem. And HTC have locked the bootloader, even though they now say they will unlock it. HTC is NOT a good costumerfriendly company and they definetly do not deserve the good reputation they today have. HTC Sence was good but is beginning to feel old and outdated, and the design of their phones are also feeling old even though it was great design a year ago.

I'd like to point out that it is impossible to drop the signal of an Omnia II. It usually gets a few bars where my friends' phones (HTC and Apple) have zero signal. After the phone is covered fully for roughly 10 seconds, the signal will become even stronger than original after it is released. Awesomeness!

I guess another death grip issue blown out of proportions by gsmarena like they did with the Iphone 4, i never had a single instance of deathgrip ever since i got mine 7months ago. So i guess the issue is non existent on the sensation too. And since gsmarena is the only website reporting it right now we dont know the scale of the problem or even if there is any problem

No... try as I may I couldn't kill the wifi signal on my NOKIA N8.

it could only be the problem of the test device given to gsmarena.
is there any one who has commented did consider this possibility before writing his/her comment??? according to the present comments this question has its answer..

I have had no problems with my Sensation especially when using the WIFI, the signal only dropped by a bar but it didn't affect the performance, however the signal strength on this device is far better than the other Android phones manufactured by HTC. They seem to be improving each time. So maybe your handset was only a demo one.

Did you mean by this that Apple boosted signal bars? actually they did opposite, they lower the bars.
before update, i had 4-5 bars (3gs) where i live, now i have 2-3 and i know the repection here is bad. So that 4-5 was quite strange.

Next they will release a new software update to boost the signal bars... because they were "inaccurate" lolol.
Come on HTC, you are better than that! admit the mistake, fix the problem and offer free exchanges!

Well, I have HTC Sensation and I must admit, there is a death grip issue. However, It's not that 'strong', so it truly does not affect normal use of the phone.

I have a feeling that these signal loosing phenomenons will be appear ofter in future phones. Manufacturers do not care anymore about the radio comunication, instead stuffing the phone with all kind of bullshit tehnology that is not really needed for telecomunication affecting the atennas because they are either to small or covered by other components.
Why all the symbian phones never had these problems?

AnonD-8400, 09 Jun 2011first! :D well i believe HTC will work on this on every pos... morethe sensation doesnt have a true unibody design, also is there much they can actually do? a case wont make any difference will it? your hands are in the way of the antenna.. surely the only way to sort that would be to move your hands! i was going to get a sensation but im going to wait now instead of upgrading early, this coupled with HTC's backlog of repairs and android having more holes than a block of swiss cheese has put me off!

Second! well i also believe that HTC can worked on this kind of issues..
well expect that these are the common issues that phones that has a touch screen feature have.moving on these are the issues that they can improve!

HTC should just deal w/ it not deny it! Face the problem. Fix it. Then they might just be praised for it!
