Hi GSM admin, Redmi 5 Plus already on sale in Malaysia officially on 6 Feb 2018. Presumably the first outside China market to received it with global ROM.
Price: Redmi 5 (32gb) - RM679 / USD$123, Redmi 5 Plus (32gb) - RM749 / USD$149. The Redmi 5 Plus 64gb version will be available later according to Mi Malaysia Fb. Both models are available in Black, Blue and Gold colours.

That can not be true...
The Redmi Note 5 would be a different device. I think it would be similar in specifications to Redmi Note 4 with SD435 Chipset (as per Xiaomi's previous practice of downgrading).

One thing is certain Xiaomi became the largest smartphone seller in India due to the redmi note 4 sales. If they are just going to release the same old package as before get ready to go down. Bad movie Xiaomi, unless they've got something up their sleeve!

I think its high time that Redmi series got the brilliant and futureproof "USB C" Port. The entire Mi series has been switched, its high time each manufacturer switches over fully, so we will have a single common cable and charger for all connecting and charging needs across devices!!

Keep whining about 625 on a budget phone. Also Xiami deserves a blame too, releasing Note series every year with downgraded chipsets, so Yeah, people unhappy, but to keep cost down is very hard, considering it value series

Woah, if this is true then its a bad news for xioami, heck mi a1 will still be a better buy than this still while being much older, i mean the only improvement is just 18:9 display, and that's it, no more improvements at all, that will be kind of dumb
