Honor is not good at providing updates, I have honor 6x. Still on emui 5.1 with August security patch. It just got only one update that is nouget.. I remember they promised oreo update for honor 6x..but they fail to keep their promise.

Sathish, 23 Jan 2018You may missed to read last statement of the article!!No I didnt. Emui 8 is android Oreo. What it means in the last article is some of the AI features present in emui 8 in mate 10 series will be cut off due to hardware limitation. (Mate 10 use Kirin 970 AI cpu). Emui 5 = NOUGAT. Emui 8 = OREO.

For those who bashing and says Honor didn't update their device, heres the answer from huawei lol. But its good for bashing though, because of it, huawei quickly reschedule their oreo update device to include honor 8. Thats a good example of how much they care about their customer. Great!

Shit. I have an Honor 5C, which came out before Nougat, and got it around March I think. Yes its an old phone, but its the same year as the Honor 8 and the Honor V8. I remember when they used to promise 2 years of software updates, my phone is stuck on August security patch.
