I was curious about it too until I found out about this.
If you want Android go for Sony, Samsung and.. that's about it :))
The pixels are full of bugs and problems, no sd card, no 3.5mm jack and expensive af.

I wanted to want one of these. Went to see it in person in Sydney thinking perhaps to have a windows eco system across devices but no no, the phones messaging system was visually shocking and a mess. No way.

They want you to test for the so called upcoming platform and want your money to pay for the development, so that they can decide to stop development without any qualms. Typical M$. I guess not many are going to fall for it this time.

chrwl007, 24 Feb 2018I really like the Windows Phone interface, and still own a ... moreIf you really like the interface, then you can get roughly the same interface with some Android launchers. There are a couple of WP launchers that allow you to setup tiles. Some even animate those tiles.

My first smartphone was Nokia Lumia 800, it was so beautiful and good in terms of hardware, but it needed importing files to Zune, an app that was installed to PC, just to transfer files from PC to phone or vice versa. It was so much of a hassle compared to just copying/cutting files, then pasting to one's phone's file manager. And the marketplace lacked so many apps, and my Lumia's outdated OS couldn't support many of the apps I wanted that time, such a shame.

I really like the Windows Phone interface, and still own a Lumia 1020, but Microsoft can go to hell. Since they decided to drop support for their mobile OS just like that, I won't be supporting them any more. Once my Nokia 8 arrives, my phone and laptop will be Windows-free.

one thing i did not get regarding windows phone is that their fan boys are in every forum (not saying in a mocking sense) and in good quantities too but why their phone didn't sell ?
example blackberry has negligible supporters and it shows in their sales too as expected but for windows there is a fan base trying hard to protect their love interest all over the internet but sales say otherwise since they started.

2 950 xl's broke within a year for me. screens stopped working on one, random shutdowns on another. have a backup 640xl (but its not getting fall's creator). windows phone not worth it anymore.

$200 Windows Phone will outperform any $200 Android phone in daily usage. I always loved WP and their low end phones really worked like advertised unlike cheap Android crappers.
