Anonymous, 13 Mar 2018dat ugly notch doe~notch is not a problem if a software handles it correctly. like not playing videos on side of notch(cropping notch in a video). asus has done a good job at saying we have notch but we won't cut content that's why they use 19:9 display so 18:9 content doesn't get cropped by notch

You affect the high range, the medium range, the used market, maybe the low end is the least affected.
Last year the smartphone sales for the fist time were lower than the year before, companys to mantain profits for their investors and make the executives look good then seek higher margins (=lower sales= some enterprises will go broke).
Phone technology reached a plateau, only a breaktrough (in battery technology for example) can spur a market renaissance.

Wow, never heard so many people B&M about something they didnt like. You dont like it you dont like it. So dont buy it. Yall complain about the notches, you complain about the aux port, you complain about the size of the screens. All this complaining and nothing has changed. You have the trendsetters and those who follow. If you dont want a notch dont give said company your money. Go and get a no name device or better yet dont buy another phone. My concern is the price! $600 for a mid range? I mean I know the high ends are getting expensive but DAM!!

Yeah you may go for Asus because Asus is on fire with the chipset, pricing and other features but that notch and UI is not everyone's cup of a tea.
