06 September, 2011

i support nokia as it was the first phone i used and the whole world knows tat is makes decent handsets for the masses but its only doing one mistake they think tat making handsets like n8 or n9 they can compete with mighty APPLE. nokia should use its own innovations instead of copying iphones and try to overtake them a symbian software is nowadays can be seen in china phones but IOS or ANDRIODS are way advanced than a symbian OS

[deleted post]Ok but will it run all android app? Will it run smooth like in android ecosytheme? That s the question. If you want android app just buy a android devise and its pathetic that you have to used app from a other platform you are lucky that android is open source.

as far as I concern nokia devices can be used for two pur!poses 1) for camera 2)for mp3 player.these are the main functios that nokia have achieved at maximum.earlier times.
and I don't think. this result will chane in the case of n9.. but also hope that symbian belle os can overcome this kind of typical mobile phone system to some extend like anDROID DOES!!!DROID DECIDING what a mobile phone should be

Why would a buy something that's already dead. I prefer putting my money on something that got a future. My friend had a n900 and he promised himself from to never buy a product with no future like the n900 fiasco.

COMMON SENSE --> if a product life cycle is announced as very short even before its launch then why should a sensible person want it.

Vendors gradually decrease support and after some time Ends the Support.

AnonD-1906, 07 Sep 2011Look thats your opinion. Not everybody buy stuff for durabi... moreI agree with you on that support matters, hence why WebOS is dead, despite how good it was. And it was very good. Palm just didn't have the resources to get it out there.

Nokia, on the other hand, does have enough power, that if they want, could get things going and get support for MeeGo. Especially with Intel backing them up. Just Elop is an idiot who thinks that he has a better chance of developing an eco system with WinPhone7. I bet you anything that MeeGo upon it's release would have a better eco than WinPhone7. Linux OS has always had strong communities behind it. And the amount of hype that the N9 generated among tech websites would only serve it good.

Plus, lets not forget the Alien Dalvik which would allow Android apps to run on MeeGo.

I really hate Elop. Still sucking on Microsoft's tit after he left.

I respect your choise. But the N9 is all plastic made polycarbonate juste like samsung. Me i prefer htc because there use metal. If a devise dont have a good support than its a no go for me. Thats why idevise succed right now because of is support. Meego is a good Os so was webos. No support mean= dead. Look what happen with the n900. My creteria are good support and the best technologie out there and android give me that. Ps2 won against xbox 1 and game cube because it had more support than other console.

AnonD-13986, 07 Sep 2011The thing is, he's been saying it in Nokia threads(plural) ... moreNow this is another thing you are right no one should troll any brand just keep the normal discussion and however for the durability thing i don't think it does really matter for high phones now since if you pay that amount of money in a phone then you will be handling it carefully and yeah i must admit it my father old 6085 Nokia phone and his old N70 and even older phones is still working good but i can't be so sure about other brands since i didn't try any other brand for long time like i did with Nokia anyway durability is good but having good OS with good apps and smooth UI or good support and frequent updates will be much better thats what i care more just my personal opinion if you care more about durability then thats your own opinion no problem at all
