Sony Xperia XZ1 series and XZ Premium getting new update

Carrying a build number of 47.1.A.12.205, it's a security update that brings along Android fixes for the month of June.

Its not concerning only for monthly patches, all those Nokia midrange phones are running 8.1 currently. And Nokia has committed to users that all of their respective devices will get Android P.

      Meanwhile have you heard anything from Sony? Doubt that my XZ, which was a flagship would be getting Android P.

        Yes, i received it.. Now, i hope my xz1c will get oreo 8.1 update soon, or skip to android P? No problem. And i hope sony will brings new camera software improvements on those update.

          Sony on the other hand, has the best performing UI of the android world.
          I have always been a Nokia fan, but moved to Sony after WP madness. Still can't come back because of Sony's excellent UI and apps. In fact, I would say Sony is better even without updates, since no amount of updates in 2 years will add features 'pure' android is usually lacking.

          And those monthly updates are a Samsung level gimmick.

            SONY has great updates on there cell devices, keep it up and I will keep buying SONY.

              XZ1 was a flagship phone from Sony but all Nokia phones (even midrange) are faster than Sony's! Not to mention the price here.

                I have the XZ1 and can say that Sony firmware updates are extremely fast and on time and far ahead of any other Android devices (expect maybe Google's own devices).
