thats what Sony's staff at my place told me..
same when xz3p released later, xz2 models will stop production
aaaaaand thats how Sony maintain their expenses and income for their mobile department

And on top of that size and weight - there is no headphone jack.
My XZP is beauty. This is ugly.

$$$ too much. Sony trying to be in the same league as Apple or Samsung, but without the Samsung popularity... Probably Sony's best phone ever, but they've already screwed themselves limiting the countries its released in. Sony Australia already comment that they will not be selling it in Australia. Many other countries won't be getting it either.. meh

the only draw back are the bezels and they're not that bad...

well, fuck it, i was dead wrong. the xz2 is amazing. the screen is up there, which is rare for any phone except the sgs phones. the pictures are better than the sgs9 (wtf?! reviews?!)
the way it fits in your hand is MUCH better and its nice to hold unlike the other phones.
the software is lighter and runs very well - better, that is, than the sgs, on par with pixel with actually less bugs (what?)
the only thing it doesnt actually do better is... the bezels. but really they're not that bad.
so yeah, i was very surprised.

they said Sony will cease last gen model production when new gen is complete (after xz2p is release, XZ1 will stop production) no matter how high or low the sale..means they dont wasting money producing old model for few more years..and Sony fans will usually upgrade to new model after 1 to 2 years..and thats how they survive
IMO they doesn't seem wanna try to compete with anyone (having same spec same design and fight for lower price),instead they just want to be 1 step ahead..
what they did wrong is, the premium model release is sooooooo late..those who can't wait already get other brands flagship because of this..flagship should be release first, then followed by lower models
