Well Samsung foldable can end as Note 7 series. They ignore all criteria just make and done.
Instead of Huawei which will do a lots of testing before final release.

Manchito, 21 Sep 2018Well, Huawei isn't that cheap lately. Even an unlocked S9+ ... moreI do not have any problems with notch. However to have a notch and huge bottom bezel with physical button - that is absurd. I had P20 Pro and I confess that it was ugly to me. I got it for camera which was not as good as they hyped it. It made everything look artificial in my opinion...

Huawei is de wei to 5G! O3O

I wonder how dangerous the radiation from 5G is. That must be thoroughly investigated before adoption to the standard.

Huawei first foldable 5G phone will not be the first in US anyway. Lol. Samsung still can win this.

Samsung has been preparing the foldable phone for years now. Losing to Huawei like this would be bad for them. Not only that, but Huawei is already stealing their customers (Samsung keeps prices high, so they are easy target).

I actually hope Samsung wins this race.

Competition nowadays is not about giving the most functional and most usable technology.
They compete for gimmicks, foldable phones are nice but do we really need it? Unlike waterproofing/water resistant developments, where we can say that it is for safety.

And 5G? for my understanding, telcos are the one whose controlling internet speeds.
Is it going to be useful in all countries?

Come on guys. We have great minds out there. Is this all you can do?

On the 5G part i still dont see the point while 4G can do even 1Gbit/s speeds.
In my country 4G is limited to 600mb down and 150 up. But i have seen the down speed even over 700 sometimes. And as it was a test sometime this week to see how fast they get it if they modify the antennas a bit and they got 1Gbit/s speeds.

Foldable smartphones are good idea to show how advanced technology is.

But, I don't find foldable phones useful. I am sure that I will never buy one. Why do we need them?
