Still no Pie in the Android distribution chart

Meanwhile, Oreo grows by 4.6 percentage points to just under a fifth of the market.

Most people use a dated android version. Android Pie to them is mirai.

This shows how shitty android OS is. Lol

People still use Gingerbread? Honeycomb is no longer there but Gingerbread still is. I have used every version on that list + Pie. No question in my mind Pie is the best and my favorite.

      Favorites
      1. Pie
      2. Nougat
      3. Marshmallow
      4. KitKat
      5. Oreo
      6. Ice Cream Sandwich
      7. Lollipop
      8. Jelly Bean
      9. Gingerbread

My favorite real edibles from that list are Kit Kat, Oreo, and ICS. I used to snack on Kit Kats and Oreos all the time. I stopped it due to fear of diabetes.

Google Pixels should be my next phones moving forward.

Android Pie isn't there because it's ashamed to enter the chart at anything less than 3.14%.

i really hope my A3 2017 gets stuck on Oreo and will receive only security/maintenance updates from now on. Oreo is so good and refined and Samsung Experience 9 is so good as well, no need to break it.

That's a lot of low-end Android phones on the market and still being sold.

Kingslayer, 29 Sep 2018I forgot my Nokia N82! My first smartphone. I also forgot t... moreDude, who cares about your list anyway?

I forgot my Nokia N82! My first smartphone. I also forgot the granddaddy of iPhones. The original iPhone (2G). It crashed alot with only 128 MB RAM but the first iPhone was revolutionary whether people like iPhones or not. I remember jailbreaking it to get the lightsaber unlock sound.

                        New list -
                        1. Essential Phone
                        2. LG G5
                        3. Apple iPhone SE
                        4. LG V20
                        5. Xiaomi Mi 3
                        6. HTC One
                        7. Apple iPhone 4
                        8. Nexus One
                        9. Apple iPhone
                        10. Nokia N82

Tossed out the first Pixel because I only had it for 6 months. With the exception of the Essential which I've only had for a month, the rest I had for at least 18 months. If I get another new phone like say a Pixel, Xperia, or OnePlus, the N82 gets bumped off the list. I've been spoiled by some really nice phones back in the day.

You want the Pie in the sky right away? Get a Pixel or Essential. The Essential is basically a sibling of the Pixels. The only way is the Google way.

Kingslayer, 29 Sep 2018I was redoing my Top 10 favorites list earlier... TOP 10... moreP for Pota?

Can't stress enough how important the software experience can be. Currently enjoying an Essential Phone with the latest update, just like a Pixel. This updated software makes up for things like average camera experience. Because of this incredibly smooth experience, I've always enjoyed stock Android (CyanogenMod/Nexus or Pixel OS).

Meanwhile Google is siting back and ain't doing nothing about this. If I was lead of Android, I would start putting some ground rules more STRICTLY.

I was redoing my Top 10 favorites list earlier...

                                TOP 10
                                1. Essential Phone
                                2. LG G5
                                3. Apple iPhone SE
                                4. LG V20
                                5. Google Pixel
                                6. Xiaomi Mi 3
                                7. HTC One
                                8. Apple iPhone 4
                                9. Nexus One
                                10. Motorola Moto E4

Why is the Essential Phone #1? Because of Pie. Software matters more to me than even camera. Most of these tech hipsters on YouTube compare cameras because that's the main draw for upgrading. The speed difference is negligible.

For my taste, I want it NOT to lag. I want smooth. My Top 5 with the exception of the V20 doesn't really lag at all. Actually up to my Top 10, most didn't lag. Only my V20, Nexus One, and Moto E4 lag the most. Smooth software experience matters most for me.

Pie is easily my favorite Android version ever. My first name starts with the letter P anyway along with my native country's name. PHILIPPINES!

That's kinda google fault. Most of the android phone manufacturer didn't make money at all. They dont have lot of resource to update os. And google release another new os every next year to makes their works more difficult. Google need to stop releasing new os every year ,maybe try microsoft method add new features in same os.

Even Nougat can't take Marshmallow place yet.
Google should make Android 10 release at 2020 to drag the fragmentation down.
