First of all we cannot compare apples to oranges, so, the comparison here is between the RAZR & GS2, in my book, the GS2 wins hands down, I have had one for 6+ monthes, it is the BEST phone I ever had, period, and for same/lesser specs, it is not worth my dough.... Now for the NEXUS, I want to try it because I want the vanilla OS, and the prompt updates (you hear me GS2), my only problems with it,,, the lack of memory card, this is a HUGE minus,,, the size, but then I guess everything is getting BIGGER now, as for the camera, it all depends on the quality of the sensor, you know not just the MP :)finally, guys, do not forget that the NEXUS IS built for ICS natively, so, you cannot compare it to any upgraded unit, wait till other Native ICS units come out, till then, the NEXUS is on its own,,,, be good Y'all

4) big deal, easier to brake, not like its world thinnest phone

7)splash resistant, not water resistant....almost any phone is splash resistant, you need to fully submerge it to have problems.
8)so what...no hd screen, no gyro, only 16 gb no option for 32,
9)yes,ok..but no ice cream sandwich, no nfc.
10)big deal...smart people do this : pair bluetooth mouse and bluetooth keyboard and use dlna or hdmi or tv-out over microusb or 3.5mm jack to output to tv. You instantly get a pc :D
have to agree i would choose razr just because of its hdmi alone, but overall nexus is more powerfull...even gpu is better...4460>4430. If i had the money i would wait for a tegra 3 phone with hdmi again cant live without it.

Android needs to get sexier handsets, SonyE are getting there, and Moto (to an extent) but HTC / Sammy are really lagging behind...
That's why unless GS3 looks AMAZING, i.e. metal / premium look - I'll be jumping to something that looks a bit different..

There is logic behind SE's approach although a lot of people dont get it as they are only interested in a spec race. Anyway, just wanted to let peeps know that SE is already rolling out ICS to its Xperia phones! Excellent customer service. Btw, before you start chatting crap, i am not here to compare tools, if i like it i buy it and a proud owner of droid razr, ip4 and arc S! Razr won over the nexus because of 16G memory plus the option to expand with memory card to 48G! The only option for me would be the 32G Nexus, certainly not its smaller brother!

I'd be careful nowadays about just basing the quality of a phone on a spec-sheet...
What you really have to look at is the manufacturer too and their record for;
a) getting the most out of their specs
b) reliability of software updates
c) build quality
d) being a little more future-proof
I'd say based on those alone, Sammy wins out over Moto - purely because of Moto's horrendous track record of updating phones...
Also their underperforming Atrix phones, despite having good specs, many reviewers found it lacking...
I think Moto are on the right track giving a bit of individuality with their look (and I think next year that's what will define Android phones - as all specs should level out so it'll be form factor that wins the day) but also - their screens will be a deciding factor too...and nobody's beat Sammy's at the mo...
I think next year Moto might be in with a chance, but at the moment, Sammy is still the one to beat...
Let's hope SonyE can come up with a phone that doesn't have last year's specs, otherwise they're out of the game...
And as for HTC - they need a massive overhaul in the look of their phones - they're all way too similar and just plain boring...(however that is true of Sammy's phones too - they need to make their phones LOOK fantastic and make people want to buy them - enough of the plastic already)
Next year? Let's hope an Xperia Play 2 comes out and it looks AMAZING!

Just to clear things up!
Splash resistant= If you accidentally get a small amount of water on it, provided that you wipe it off quickly it should not fail.
Water resistant= Describes something that will not be penetrated by liquid, but will repel the liquid.
An example of a water resistant phone would be one you can take in the water while swimming without ruining it.....would you take your Razr into the water??? I think not :)

The Nexus also records in 1080p@30fps
It also comes with Ice Cream Sandwich which is the latest OS...who wants a new phone with an old OS???!!!???

I sure that this phone is a speed demon
But plain and simply Samsung and Google need to do something about
there phone design. This phone is so boring with its horrible cheap grey plastic back that is so flismy yes it has a great screen but the overal design just dosent scream i want an i mean from the point of view of not raving about phone specs. Part of making people wanting a phone is also asbout what it looks like. this is just a slab and a very big one to

One doesn't need to be a jack of all trades to sell the best. The Razr's slimness is the envy of Samsung, which has always emphasized this fact. One must not forget that the original Motorola Razr is one of the most sold phones ever in history, even when others had more in terms of tech specs.
History could be on the verge of repeating itself. Sometimes, one killer feature is all it takes. Is the Razr better than the Nexus? Arguable. Is it more memorable? MOST DEFINITELY.
