The agency has (possibly unwittingly) spilled the beans on the upcoming model.

I wonder if the G7 play has a gyroscope on board this time around? I know the G5, G6, and G7, all come with gyroscopes, but it would be nice if they would put a gyroscope on the play versions.

Especially since these devices continue to get faster and faster with more ram. Even the GPU supports Vulkan graphics. So these device are really capable VR or Cardboard smartphones these day. If and only if Motorola chose to put a gyroscope on board this time.

    Where is X4 successor :-(

This will actually be the spiritual successor of the standard g6. With moto's terrible prices, there's no way they'll sell a SD632 for anything less than what they charged for the g6. The g7 will be the g6 plus successor, and the g7+ will be there attempt to make the g series a step higher to replace the X... If the screen isn't too big, my wife will probably get it (used of course). She's a light user that demands moto software...

Another wholly unecessary and pointlessly oversized mobile that offers no compelling reason to buy.

2800 mAh battery? 2014 wants its battery back. What a joke of an upgrade.

Is there any reason for buying these mid range Moto's anymore? They're often overpriced and underspecc'd and they don't have the brand clout of 2014-2015 years. They are among the worst at update speed, they backtrack on update promises as it suits them. Their customer service is inconsistent and generally pretty bad

                  One back camera?

What's Snapdragon 632 doing there? I hope it is sufficient enough for basic tasks.
                    That's a small battery though.
                    The phone looks thicker.

Thanks but no thanks, no good update support from Moto. You're better off with other brands like nokia or xiaomi.

What's with Lenovo/Motorola and small batteries? The real question is will the Moto One Power ever be available in the US?
