My last SONY dual SIM phone was the Z5 dual which allowed for two SIM cards and one SD CARD. The budget J and A series phones and some Motorola phones allow this but not the over USD $900.00 SONY phone.
Explain to me why SONY is selling DUAL sim phones, where you are not able to use the SD CARD slot, so you are stuck with 64GB when using two SIM cards at best on a 4K capable phone. Should I buy two SONY phones, one for each of my SIM cards so that I can boost the memory of both phones to the storage I want?
Stop defending these loosers. If they had a 128 GB version there are many of us who would buy it. Again stop defending them, they need to wake up. I have been waiting since the Z5 DUAL for a decent SONY phone, and they drop the BALL every time.

I think sony mobiles has lost the track since xperia z3+.Firstly they were completely uncompetitive and now they lost their originality too. It seems like nothing can be a turn around for sony mobiles.They are continuously losing market and eventually they have to quit.Feeling sorry for sony mobiles as a sony fan

There's only two things I don't like about this. One: screen ratio. 16:9 was great, but this race to make the tallest phone with the least usable amount of screen real estate (think of watching videos, you end up with giant black bars) is depressing and unnecessary, and Two: a bottom firing speaker despite the XZ's having dual front firing from the beginning. Other than that, this is looking very promising. I'll be waiting for the Premium though.

If u've been following gsma news since 2015, you'd know that every year sony always quit doing bunisess from different countries.
Sonymobile has quit doing busines from the middle east and africa, defocus from india, defocus from south east asia, and also quit from some major countries in south east asia. And no one care about sony in usa and canada (even in the entire america continent). And one of the main reason of its failure in 2018 is because of its low sales number in europe.
So probably next year sony will quit from europe too. In reality most european prefer samsng, apple, and huawei. Not sony.

The reason why it's getting hot is the soc and the build materials of the phone. I think the 7nm chip will run cool with the z4 along with glass materials and hopefully cooling systems like with that of the gaming phones like razer phone, mate 20x, and rog phone.
People these days are so stupid to complain about the lack of a 3.5mm headphone jack when there's already state of the art wireless headphones or if you wanna get wired there's the type c usb.
Why not just suggest about improving the battery life; camera with at least the ultra wide, portrait, and monochrome sensors; dual stereo speakers; having an infrared and fm radio feature.

Okay, enough with the rant, here's my honest opinion:
Design? Okay, it's questionable why Sony ditched the curved screen, since they were praising it much, sooo... Does that mean the Side Sense is gone? Swipe down as Back is gone too? Doesn't really add up. I thought 2:1 (18:9) was tall enough, but I guess Sony wanted to make their phones media machines, so... whatever floats your boat, I guess... I never liked triple camera phones... Why do we need 3 cameras? Sure, it's better quality and all, but soon companies will include 8 cameras just to be better... It's ridiculous IMO. But if the imagery is fantastic, I don't have a complaint. My biggest complaint is the DOWNWARDS FACING SPEAKER. WHY?????????? Sony was praising these so much! Why would they do this? I really hope that is fake and they return the front facing dual speakers. I don't like the camera bump. I don't have a problem with it being taller than usual. I mean, I carry my phone in a pouch, so that's no problem for me. A tall screen also is a welcome change, bc I watch a lot of YouTube and this will be awesome. Don't freak out about the tall screen. The back FP sensor NEEDED to be removed. I always wanted this on the side, and I was so happy when I saw it return. That where the FP sensor should always have been. I don't understand why is it separate from the power button. Seems stupid. Hopefully outside of the US the FP sensor doubles as the power button and we have a free remappable button! That would be cool! The chin is MUCH smaller, wow... But if it sacrifices functionality, in this case, a front facing speaker... it's stupid and I don't like it. And I'm glad the headphone jack is dead. Come at me.

Was it the back fp? doubt it... fans didnt like that but function was still there.
Was it design change? maybe... fans already got accustomed to unique nontrendy designs from Sony... tho tha f belly back certainly turned away a good amount of fans
Was it the single camera thing? Doubt it... fans appreciate the strong points of it never the less, and unique duo Aube came out.
Was it the 19:8 screen? doubt it... we can all live with that trend nonsens, even if some of us dont like it. .
Was it the price? doubt it, fans already were accustomed to Sony asking somewhat high price for quality it offers.
Was it the jack ditch? most certainly (along with back belly design), fans appreciated Sony as the maker of the damn thing, and as the maker of best modernday walkmans with the newly developed 4.4 jack even. And then they just ditch their legacy altogether on Xperias for no good reason at all?!
I, as a fan, was not, so to say, "angry" of that news, I was downright truely ashamed of Sony Mobile. Am still ashamed, for them ditching all their good legacies, even front stereo speakers now.
XZ4 here looks EXACTLY like a 2018 Samsung Galaxy phone!?!?
Good luck with those 2019 sales Sony. 😐
Mark my words, next year the cam button will be gone too, if they still exist long enough to do the next stupid thing.

I like it a lot. The curved sides appear to be a throwback to the earlier Z series.
