Anyway, I saw a leaked video of Lenovo phone which has a hole for a camera. It's exactly a lot better than the notches and the drop notches.

Although I don't care for a notch or a hole....just as long as I don't have any moving parts and I get my front-firing stereo loudspeakers!!!
PS: The TRUE offender is this gimmicky marketing sales pitch of the new bad aspect ratio. Come on 19.5:9 is plain ridiculous, I would gladly meet halfway at 17:9 and have dual-notches instead.

This is just dumb. They could have gone for the piezoelectric speaker for the earpiece.

IMO this is the reckoning for those that hated (tiny) notches. That's the alternative, because no way are companies going back to bezeled design. That is what you voted for with your money. So instead of a tiny notch on top which only takes a tiny part in a mostly useless part of the screen, we are now having dead pixels in useful parts of the screen.
Are you happy, fanboys?

It's clearly still in the development stage. Just one more year, then.

Walter C. Dornez, 29 Nov 2018Actually, under the screen makes it blurryWe'll see when the tech goes live to consumers. Anyways I don't use the selfie camera so I say good riddance. But I understand that there's people who uses it so I hope for them that they fix the blur.

Pretty sure there is already a solution for the earpiece.
Just remove the front camera & put a small 'mirror' next to the back camera (I used to have phone like that) ... job done!

This is just a transitional level, honestly. Look how far we've progressed after just one year of notches (sliders, mechanical pop-ups, etcetera).
Give it one more year, two at worst, and we'll have under-display front-facing cameras.
