Actually, earphones bring about resistance (due to circuit being completed) which disturbs the audio quality, so a better DAC will ensure better separation and clean audio. See Galaxy S9 or even S7 edge for that matter, their audio setup is great....

AnonD-454049, 09 Jan 2019What DAC chip does the redmi note 3 have?I believe its either ESS Technology ES9018K2M SABRE DAC or some DIRAC DAC.... Can't be sure though.

The F2 I think should stabilise down to Rs. 25,000 for its lowest model.
Slightly more will do, but any more than that means it will start bordering Oneplus' offering, which will further require F2 to have good setup, including OLED screen and have to be good at everything...

They still can release the case with sensors and the likes. Color spectrum sensor would be great too, maybe even tele camera on top...one case after half year to add some popular specs would be great. If screen was edge to edge, they could even sort of upgrade screen.

Shanti Dope, 09 Jan 2019Nobody will disagree that Pocophone is a fantastic value fo... moreThe premium for the things that those other brands are good at is ridiculous for the features they provide. OLED screen gives more pleasant viewing experience but has burn in issues and wireless charging is still catching up in terms of speed with wired charging. Plastic doesn't crack as easy as glass so even without the back cover it's more durable than those glass-back premium phones. The Poco F1 has a very decent hardware in terms of camera optics. The xiaomi camera app sucks a bit but F1 camera works wonders with GCAM app. So are the premium looks and OLED screen really worth extra 600$-700$? After sales service is really important aspect, i won't deny that so if in your country Xiaomi doesn't have decent support then it makes sense to skip it but other than that Poco F1 gets 90% things to you for 30% of the price of those 'PREMIUM' brands. So it really comes down to whether you really need that additional 10% and how much extra are you willing to pay for it. For most people Poco F1 does the job of a flagship just fine.

on flagships and flagship killers- to each his own. for years i have been loyal to Samsung's Note line because of the s-pen (not that it's obvious), software, and the sheer hardware distinction. there are simply niche markets no matter what, then there are those who just prefer flagships for the sake of having the money to burn for it. just as there will always be varying mileage for wants and needs, flagships are here to stay. there is no perfect smartphone that suits everyone's needs and wants, so there will be no standards on what a flagship really is aside from the pricing and the specs, again depending on your priorities. all i am trying to say is that there really are no flagship killers as these are flagships in their own rights.

The fact that the original commenter said that the premium flagships aren't worth it is just what led me to list down many reasons as to why paying more for better overall products is also worth it.
Nobody's telling everyone not to be satisfied with a good enough device, but you don't have to say that the more expensive phones aren't worth their prices, because in the end, you'll realize how much more future proof a more expensive phone is than a low-priced flagship with multiple compromises.
Just take for instance, a Galaxy S9 could be kept for the next 3 years and with great handling, it would remain relevant in the future. The Pocophone, on the other hand, will be good enough for a year or two before you would spend again on another phone, or else it would be highly laughed at for how outdated it is.
Just like the Galaxy Note 5, which is still a viable premium offering, and can be easily mistaken for a modern day premium flagship phone, but the OnePlus 2 is even less capable than most mid rangers today.

Still, when it comes to pure overall quality, the DSLR will still be better if the right equipments are used, even at the lower resolution. It can gather more light, thus revealing more details and less noise, and better video stabilization to boot. Still, like always, the Pocophone will be good enough for the most part, and is mostly fine for general usage.

Shanti Dope, 09 Jan 2019Okay, I can tell a difference between 30fps and 60fps, but ... moreI will have to disagree on 4K being indistinguishable from FHD. I have done tests about this- 4K and FHD videos taken with the same proper video camera at the highest settings attainable then viewing them on the same monitors (lucky for me I was able to snap a deal for a buy 2 4K TVs for the price of 1 a year ago) side by side; I always find the 4K footages to be way up there. The TVs I view the footages with also has upscaling of FHD to 4K, but even so the actual 4K footages are still better. My 4K TVs are only 50 inches, but definitely it would more distinguishable on bigger screens. If you're talking about consumption on a phone, then I would have to agree with you; I even would say 4K would be indistinct compared to even 480p on a 6 inches FHD or 2K screen. In such cases the fps and bitrate would set the standard.

Not all earphones have the same impedance and yours might be 25 ohms or lower (earphones/in-ear monitor (IEM)), in which Poco can easily drive. For those that complain for "low volume", it is most probable that they're using headphones, which has a significantly bigger speakers that IEMs or having earphones/IEMs with impedance of 32 ohms and above. Also take note of the differences between earphones and headphones. Headphones always have larger speakers than that of earphones so both having the same impedance does not mean same volume level.

I have a friend using ipX looking for a secondary android phone for business related apps and sync, why spend another limb after she's bought the ipX? Pocophone does it.
What if phones arent really my thing and I just need an above average phone, i'd like to spend my money on laptop, car, home etc?

Pocophone strikes a good balance of price vs quality/performance

Pocophone also has the advantage of user base, you can rest assure ppl are barking up that tree if theres an issue and its evident with the updates.

Everyone has their own reasons why, so dont barge in like "I've got the market down to two camps and heres how the world works, listen up plebs"

DAC dictates quality and cleanliness while the amp will dictate how much power it can output to drive speakers for 3.5mm jack. As with GSMArena's tests, Poco's 3.5mm jack shows clean audio when paired with an external amp. Considering that the amp is the problem, then this type of issue can be easily mitigated by using lower impedance earphones/IEMs in which the smartphone can easily drive.

Correct me if I'm wrong but in audio, I always associate the DAC and amplifier as separate entity.
