foldable phones would actually be cool if only they can follow the footsteps of dual screen the likes of the nintendo ds, instead of making the entire display fold onto itself. why do they keep making such technofetishist stuff, how can a foldable display that risks spoiling and at such a high price point be any innovative?!
true innovation would only be when smatphones actually get smarter than even the smartest human, or if! (?)

Just imagine something like this old 2011 idea

Anyway, I'm not going to buy it because the first models always have flaws and it takes some time to perfect it. Going to wait 2-3 years until it becomes a standard.

Samsung is going all out with their tech this year. I'm pretty sure their foldable phone are more polished than Flexpai. That one was a disaster. Samsung has been working on theirs for years now and keep delaying the launch to get an even more polished version out there.

Foldable phones are an excellent concept and would be a great addition to the Note Line-up (especially with having a very powerful low power-consumption processor for photo and video editing).
This phone has only 1 issue, and that is that the screen folds on the inside, and therefore the screen wear and tear is much higher than on where it folds on the outside. There are 2 ways to address such a design concern:
1. Ensure that the design of the phone ensures that the screen curves when folded, instead of lying flat. It can be easily done by having the edges slightly raised (the inside of the phone won't have an infinity display any more).
2. The second way is to incorporate the Micro LED tech that Samsung invested. It has corners in the screen, but there usually about 1 pixel or so in perms of thickness. If that pixel is kept slightly darker than surrounding pixels, the joints may be almost completely hidden.

Call it breakable not foldable because this when folds it breaks into two separate devices with a broken screen :-)
Its a Samsung dont expect they make a proper real working device for ponly 1500 in price.
All of you get what you pay for :-)
