Hence they should have correct price, comparable to price in China + local tax, gvie or take a little. 40% higher seems like something one could expect from parallel import, not official channels.

The future of smartphone is driven by Chinese tech companies, not by Apple or Samsung, starting in 2019. This trend was already started in 2018. But 2019 will be the year to see this new reality fully emerge.

                            Somehow, the place still looks very cheap despite it being a shameless copy of Apple's flagship stores.

                                  Xaiomi seriously needs to rethink about opening multiple physical stores in Europe and the US at a time when most companies are closing physical stores due to running costs. 1 in each European country is enough,gives customers peace of mind for returns etc. They sell phones with only a 5% profit margin, factoring in store running costs abd they're left with almost nothing.
