Verizon Galaxy Nexus finally on sale, costs $299.99 on a contract

15 December, 2011
Thanks to an online retailer, though, you can get the Android top dog for the tempting $154.99.

The US and UK pay way too much for Mobiles. In Australia we get all our phones on 24 month plans for $0 up front and no added fees throughout the contract. we can get the Galaxy S II for $29 on a 2 year plan with Vodaphone!
and Optus and Telstra are getting the Nexus for $0 on a $59 plan for 24 months.
you guys pay way too much.

what is wrong with the mobile networks and the newcomer high end phones, they buy them in hundreds of thousands on lower prices and sell them with contract so expensive! Also at phone market hapens the same with pcs,if you wait for some months you get the one step back model with simmilar specs but close to the half price.

hey where did my comment go :(
i asked gsm arena where the review for the galaxy nexus was ?? the galaxy nexus has been out more than a month ago and the rzr came after the nexus and it was reviewed so what the problem.
i really want to know about the audio quality and other things only gsmarena do.

why in america they have to pay that ammount for the phone on a 2 yr contract and here in the UK we get the phone free on a 2 yr contract, really sucks to b living in the US when it comes to mobile contracts

I already test it in JB HIFI. Amazing phone. It's a bit expensive though. 2yrs $59 cap + $10 monthly handset fees(Telstra). However considering the fact that it's the same deal with Arc S, I would gladly take Galaxy Nexus instead.

Tim, 15 Dec 2011Already out in Australia. Amazing handset! Not really Tim, The camera sucks big time, I have a Samsung Wave S8500, MY 5 MP is better than the camera on Nexus, Can you believe that the NEXUS doesn't even have a dedicated MACRO mode, You paying around 700 US$ and you don't even get a MACRO mode. :( :(

And the monthly contract cost is what?

                                        That's what matters.

This thing is $0 upfront, on a $55 service contract in Australia. And most carriers are even throwing the first 2 months of service fee in for free, they are GIVING you $110 to contract the phone.
