Think about it for a moment, if GSMA, leaksters, or the mobile industry in general doesn't have an idea what or which midrange devices Sony of Japan would launch for 2019, how the honeycomb would Sony Philippines even have the slightest clue what midrange phones are to launch for their local market this 2019? How the froyo and how much more (or less) do you think those salespeople of Sony Philippines have the slightest tip from their superiors?

Still can't accept that after l... moreI don't know if you have been in Sony stores in Philippine malls, but their mobile department only occupies a small portion of their stores. If Sony mobile pulls out from the philippines, not much would change in their stores. There are still cameras, lenses, speakers on display.

most of the filipinos are now using those cheap china brands. these cheap brands have deceiving specs. they got SD 636 for 12k only while the other brand got SD 363 for 25k! I think i knew the magic here. cheap brands used the SD type with lower specs and no testing is done anymore. once the software is flashed then it'll go straight to the poor users. lol

I'm not even surprised, LG Mobile and Sony Mobile are struggling in the Philippines for years now. If you compare their stores with the other mobile brands in the mall, it has no customers at all. The largest premium brands here are Samsung and Apple with Huawei slowly becoming popular here lately, then there are Oppo and Vivo in the mid-range smartphone and some local brands like Cherry Mobile in the entry level.

The only thing sony should do is keep the pricing on the same level with other brands esp on the midrange category and have more presence on the ads. Sometimes that's where the people got turned off, the pricing.

Most of my Filipina friends use vivo. They like to take selfie. I also don't see people using LG for awhile.
