And the refurbrished maybe for 200 bucks good deal othervise Xiaomi redmi Note 7 pro is a lot better option. or Pocophone etc.

I actually have one (iPhone x) and yes, it is a piece of crap that I regret spending pile of money on it.

Considering that they are giving you a new battery and outer shell, i think its a better package than buying the XR: better screen and better camera setup vs a slower chipset but probably wouldnt notice the difference in performance. the internals wouldnt degrade in that time used by the previous owner as its sheltered in the casing.
If, however, they only took them in, tested and repackaged, then it wouldnt be worth it as you end up with a device that has wear and tear which has more risk of dying at any point + a battery with a decreased capacity.
