You are implying that iPod was the first mp3 player and iPad was the first tablet which is wrong on both instances.
Now you might argue that iPods and iPads made the mp3 player and tablets more famous and attracted the consumers because they made it better. And I will agree with you on that point. So how is Samsung's amoled or any other technology trying to make the current smartphones/tablets not a better outcome for the consumers?
I am not a apple or samsung or any other company fanboy but rather I am just a consumer who likes to see the best products. Its people like you who demean other companies just to prove that the company you like is better is what causing the consumer outrage. Same goes for Samsung fans, just because you like Samsung doesnt mean Apple has no good products.

I guess most of the previous comments here about the game changer didn't know what they talking about. As you cited example about the Galaxy S2, what is the impact of Galaxy S2 in the mobile market segment? Does it leads to something for what we are today? Nothing...it's not even close to the sales of the previous iPhones. Heck, it's not even the first to have a dual core smartphones. It's not the most superb display in terms of resolution when it was released.
To give you some real game changer in terms of technology? look back on the iPods, it kills CD's, change the music industry, look back on the iTunes Store, look at iPad 1, and look at what we are now. Look at Olympus when they release mirrorless dSLR, and look at how major manufacturers such as Sony, Nikon, Samsung follows the path. Then tell me, what Samsung Mobile division did pioneer in the mobile industry that are setting the pace of the technology?

LED/Super AMOLED/Exynos/bringing loads of goo... moreSamsung didn't pioneer the LED technology and AMOLEDs are subjective and not giving you realistic colors, that's why professional photographer don't prefer AMOLED display. They didn't develop WiFi direct, and touchwiz? another copycat...and Galaxy S2? mehh, overhyped device, GS2 as game changer? not even close. I can count 10 devices around me right here right now, only 2 using Samsung, around 6 is iPhone and the remaining is from different brand. Is that a game changer?

Why do you think apple keeps going back to them for more parts despite the legal issues?
