Now go to the S9 battery life thread on XDA and tell all those guys with 4-5 hours SOT that they actually have 6-8. Oh and please go to a similar thread for XZ2C and convince the guys who have both Xperia and S8/S9 that they are wrong about XZ2C having much better battery life.

Wired at indoor/home wireless for outdoor is better on quality, if you don't understand, maybe you should try a wired headphones and go for outdoor experience it, wireless must be a better solution for outdoor usage and the quality much better than wired experience, this is why I seldom bring my wired headphones with my Z2 on my outdoor activities, while when at indoor/home it is fine to plug wired with the adapter, so why don't ask Huawei X fold to have a 3.5mm? Please explain.

So if you have a 30% bigger screen you'd have 9% more battery drain at worst. And if phones with 30% bigger screens and 20% bigger batteries still have way worse battery life... well, they lack optimization. Or it's just Xperia being better optimized, that's all.
