Samsung displays are not what they used to be. The S9 and S10E displays are suffering from black crush. Samsung is saving some money supplying inferior displays lately. Then again LG POLED is even worse.

Project Ara was a actually a very good concept, it just needs the correct hardware execution...but I don't think we should look to Google for that. xD

Google does not need to sell phones, Google care about their apps , software and connectivity. Android phones are every where, from cheap to high end devices, I am sure what Google want is make sure partners like Samsung , Huawei, Lenovo, LG etc... sells millions and millions phones, Google does not need to compete with them or with Apple, we saw in the past Blackberry and Microsoft failed because they never tried to innovate their software or work with Google. I used Google pixel's they are great devices give you a simple and stock android, who ever want more they will chose samsung or Huawei, and who does not like Android will go use Apple. Today the price of the device is not cheap any more, it is all about taste.

To me, a non android user, stock android equals a shoddy performance. Based on Google's showcase of phones. I laugh when people harp on about bringing back Nexus, man they did, but with flagship prices. I want a Pixel, but one of the world's biggest software companies can't do the software right. The hardware is worse. No way the 3xl screen will look good at the 1yr anniversary. It's whites are yellow. Don't believe me? Walk into a store and compare the 3, to the 3xl, the big screen is yellow.but man, I hear you cry, those phones are on 24/7. So are the others in the store, the rest look better.

All of their 3 generations of pixels are nothing but big bag of bugs .. both hardware and software. There is only one good thing about google phones. Camera that produces pics that are may be 1.5% better than other premium flagships !!!

Its like someone else said. Google don't have to be the first or market leader. They bring out phones with half decent specs. They may not sell millions but they bring out good phones that look good. And are OK

In terms of quality, Google have yet to get any thing but still photography right. Their hardware is buggy as hell, and the components are mid range, at best. Still yet to use a decent screen on a phone. For a software company, their software is also in beta, effectively, for the first 6 months of the hardware release.
