Hi. I am using my wifi hotspot to use the internet on my laptop, (I have a 9360 curve) can anyone tell me if I am using my bb data allowance when I do this? Many thanks

seems that the update is not working well with Blackberry 9900. it is causing troubles with mobile signal in WIFI areas.

If i bought a phone at a carrier and unlocked it, and i update it with there RIM 7.1 update will it lock my phone back again?

mojo, 10 Feb 2012i have updated my 9900 to the latest 7.1...works perfectly ... moreeasy as pie...
go to the site of blackberry... download the 216 MB OS7.1 package.
Ensure u have the desktop manager of blackberry installed.
Then, when the package is downloaded... just double click and follow the instructions.
Only when it tells you, should u attach ur fone.
voila, an hour later, everything will be done.
Ensure u back up ur fone.

mojo, 10 Feb 2012i have updated my 9900 to the latest 7.1...works perfectly ... moreHi. How did you do this? I am in Ireland and have a BB 9900 with IOS 7.0 and when I attempt to upgrade it says I have the latest up to date software.
I really want this IOS to avail of the WIFI hotspot feature.

ive tried this update via OTA and also on my computer, as of yet this is not available for my 9900 maybe because its on orange(uk)or maybe because blackberry have not rolled this out worldwide yet...,.. who knows, but come on blackberry pull your finger out ive used blackberrys now for 5years

Hi how do you update your handset, do you have to via your computer or was it avaible via OTA? My 9900 isnt showing the update yet?

i can help u plz go on settings than device than advance system settings than than blackberry device analyser than battery test than you will be understanding there are options for the battery charging if your problem has been solved than do let me know plz.
