I'd consider buying this because it's built by the company themselves using Nokia sourced components. There's something about Chinese/Taiwanese Nokia's that doesn't feel right.

    ......expecting new metallic body with battery door and users friendly model, but L 900 too seem photo copy of the outdated N9 model.
    still nokia forgo... the customers desired.
    there is no much improvement except FFC and larger screen size but with lower pixels density.

        Take that Samsung!

        The Android killer, Lumia 900 has arrived in the USA. Samsung is shaking scared with its outdated SGS 2. The Lumia 900 got better screen, better UI, better OS, prettier, better security and better user experience compared to the SGS 2. Samsung fans are drooling over the Lumia 900 and wished their SGS 2 was half as good.

          What can i say. Nokia on AT&T, where there is no unlimited data plan, Most probably same price as the Iphone. Good Luck Nokia. You should start praying right about now.

                it would appear that nokia are doing what apple have been doing since they entered the mobile phone industry in 2007... on phone design, to eventually become timeless...

                        The 900 has the same great design as the 800, my favorite of smartphones, upscaled slightly.

                        LTE, front camera, and bigger battery will also make the 900 an excellent flagship, but I don't need them.

                        @TSH I totally agree.
                        People say the 800's 3.7 in. screen is on the small side, as they do with the iPhone's 3.5 incher, but 4+ inches is not pocket friendly for me, a previous Palm Pixi user currently on the HP Veer.

                        As Meg Whitman said last month that HP is probably out of the smartphone business for good (so soon?), I think the Lumia 800 is for me.

                          Upscaled Lumia 800 and it's booring... Probably this was the first Nokia on wp7 but they didn't have the time to wait for it and launched the N9 with other Os.

                            Chances are the bigger 1850mAh batteries will be produced and may be ported to other devices as well.

                                For my porposes I think 4+" is just too big for a phone. Still, good to see Nokia keeping pace in the specsheet competition.

                                As for camera, while I agree that xenon flash is preferable iPhone 4/4s takes quite adequate shots, for a phone.

                                Lumia 800 would suit me better than this one, I think.

                                  Why is it exclusive to America, Nokia? How about those of us in Europe? I'm disppointed as a big nokia-fan. First it was N9 to a limited number of people, then Lumia 800 and now this. Nokia has lost it big time!

                                    skd62, 10 Jan 2012its a phone! buy a camera if you want a better camera! I understand where you are coming from, but after using the N8 and not needing to carry around a camera for those nights I'm out with my friends, nothing less than a Xenon flash will satisfy me. Unfortunately I just lost my n8 so I'm holding out hope for the replacement this year and really praying it's packin WP7.
