People will get the one they want but they're all going to be eating dust in a year or two's time when the designs that have worked out the problems come in.

Even Oneplus wiill be using their curved superamoled. Xiaomi had used their superamoled too. Apple too. Naturally, Samsung is using it for their devices without patenting it to use it for themselves since they want others to use it too. Its all business and making money. Samsung Display don't give a s**t about Samsung Mobile. They trying to make money for themselves only. So, its not copy. Fyi, why would LG want to use Samsung tech? LG also has a display making department of their own. LG use display they make by themselves.

Only 2 Operating Systems both with money generating features a priority.
Don't you think that Microsoft would want a foldable phone?
It's not about who has the best OS but there are security features Windows have that Android could employ, monthly security updates are not it

So sammy finally figured the solution of huawei is better. Mate X still the best foldable phone. Samsung as always with unreliable hardware even in the old days.

Samsung here avoids Xiaomi's patent by not having any internals in the middle. Hopefully it has at least one more brace horizontally. It looks very fragile as is. It will probably feel awkward in hand as well when folded out.

Anonymous, 22 Apr 2019How about getting the one fold design to work first?There nothing wrong with the display. Samsung already released statement. The hinge area probably will be reinforced top and bottom, and enclosed to avoid debris from entering into the panel. They are delaying the launch. Not a problem since they only make a limited amount of this Galaxy Fold anyway.

Samsung Display has always been a supplier to other phone brands. Samsung Display probably will be a future supplier of this dual foldable display. Supplying to Xiaomi is also possible.
