Oh as a bonus, if you are in europe, Mi9 still exists with wireless charging, most likely better cameras and is 200 euros cheaper. Those oppo guys are just getting greedier by the day. I have a op6 myself, if this trend continues, They might surpass samsung in pricing their phones by the point i want a one plus 8

Too expensive. They won't even sell half of OnePlus 1

Blast, 05 May 2019Sure, but why pay a significant amount more just for guaran... moreThe point here is that amount is not significant, since even 80 dollar phones can have it. If it was 20-30 per phone, having that feature in 80 dollar phone would never be feasible. So based on that, it would most likely be close to 5 dollars per phone. Let them add 10 for that, what is the problem? is 10 bucks a significant amount when you are paying 700 for a phone? I don't think so. They are increasing prices just by removing features like headphone jack these days anyways.

Anonymous, 04 May 2019Omg, if its 700-800$ in india where people are poor (and on... moreI would suggest you to get some good education because this is where you seems to be quite Poor. India is Fifth largest economy in world, further stated by World Bank it going to increase by 7.5% in 2019-20 fiscal year. Well, about "Poor India", Samsung's world biggest manufacturing unit is in India and many other mobile manufacturers are ramping up their manufacturing base to catch up mobile market in India including an Apple. Oneplus is number one brand in India and Oneplus knows better than you. I just can't explain you all over here because Poor Mind can't understand Good Stuff.

Blast, 05 May 2019The phone you just randomly pulled is targeted at a very di... morethats not my point lol. obviously its not a flagship and its targeted at a different market. but what i meant is you said "significant amount", at that price probably the ip cost is just a fraction of it so it must be around 20-30usd or maybe even smaller. and here's the adored oneplus cant incur it for the device whilst spending much for ads and marketing. ohh the irony.

so its either the company is so arrogant or that they dont have the capability to pass the standards. but it will add a significant amt to cost? mehhh...i dont think so.

          its like,

oneplus: ip rating wil cost our fanbase more money, so we will not include this feature, we have tested our device in a bucket with water anyways...

also oneplus: *spends much money to ads and marketing to further up the cost*... lol. the irony here is next level.

OnePlus is aiming to provide good value devices with flagship specifications, while the phone you're talking about isn't even close to flagship specs of OnePlus devices, but only includes an IP rating as 'flagship feature'.

Blast, 05 May 2019Sure, but why pay a significant amount more just for guaran... moresignificant amount? why did the doogee s40 have ip68 when its only about 80usd eh? sure its not famous but the fact that it got that feature at this price is contradictory to what oneplus is stating. and even if we are really careful, theres no telling that unfortunate circumstance will eventually happen. better to be proactive.

In my case, I'm always very careful with my phone, so to me an IP rating is not very important.

realitychecker, 04 May 2019lol. have you ever experienced the device already to make s... moreThe 7 Pro will lack an IP68 rating and wireless charging, and the device' camera capabilities might not be as great as the Huawei P30 Pro. Still OnePlus manages to bring a QHD+ 90Hz display (rated A+ by DisplayMate), while the P30 Pro only brings a FHD+ 60Hz display with a pricetag of around €900 in my region. The base variant of the 7 Pro is expected to start at around €700, so OnePlus' 7 Pro might not be comparable to Huawei in the camera department, but it will certainly be less expensive and more superior in the display quality + you get stereo speakers and OxygenOS (IMO better than EMUI) on the 7 Pro and not on Huawei's P30 Pro. It's a matter of what's more important to you: IP68 and wireless charging, or display quality, stereo speakers and software experience. For me it's the latter. BTW, I'm not a time traveler, haha, simply stating what we already know about the device.

This is the example of betrayal to fanboys. Way back everyone hates major brands because of pricing and loves op for being cheaper and close to flagships for performance and specs and now look at their pricing. Every mobile company will increase their prices sooner when they gain enough loyal fans and supporters. Now everyone will love xiaomi for the only remaining cheap hardware but the company profits skyrocket by pushing ads. Profit in ads is bigger than hardware profit. The mobile is not the product but the buyers.
