It's cool that adreno 22x series is finally well supported in ICS..especially since according to qualcomm, the Krait series will bring a performance somewhere around 6750DMIPS per core @1Ghz.Krait is bound to be Qualcomm's sweet revenge on TI,Samsung and Nvidia, with low power consumption, capacity for 1 core to work alone when not all 2/4 are needed to use,low 28nm lithography, speeds up to 2.5ghz on quad core setups..The future is here and sure looks like qualcomm's gonna sweep the floor with the competition

Anonymous, 28 Jan 2012it supports only 1024*600.current smartphones resolution is... moreyou are wrong, it doesnt support ''only'' 1024x600. That was jus a reference screen and if the older S3 MSM8X60 supports 1280x800 as seen in some current tablets, i dont see why S4 MSM8960 should not support higher resolutions.

"Having said that, the Qualcomm reference unit was running on Android 4.0.3, which may have helped it in getting higher scores."
What about having a cpu clocked 300mhz higher?

Yes, it will look nice in WP phones in 2014. I doubt we see a single Krait WP7 device in 2012.

it supports only 1024*600.current smartphones resolution is 1280*720.they are still behind as compared to exynos 5250 which supports max resolution upto 2560*1600 .The only plus point is that MSM8960 uses 28nm lithography which will be more energy efficient as compared to exynos 5250 that is based on 32nm.one thing also gets proved over here is that android ics 4.0.3 is much hardware efficient than previous version.....i dont understand why are they comparing with one year old processor and gpu.

With my over clocked Mali 400 (@400mhz) I reach over 57 fps in Nenamark 2 with my Gs2. Still stronger or equal to Tegra 3/ Adreno 225.

"The Mali-400 is one of the most powerful GPU available on the market today, overshadowed only by the PowerVR SGX543MP2 in Apple's A5 processor and Nvidia's new Tegra 3."

from what I've seen Tegra 2 is over Mali-400 too ;)

Exynos 5250 will be coming this year in the middle which would feature ARM Cortex A15 cores at 2 GHZ and Samsung says that the GPU in Exynos 5250 is 4 times powerful than MALI-400, It would support resolutions upto 2560x1600 pixels, Its would be probably a ARM MALI 400 successor. Its Rumored to be a MALI-T658 which is very powerful indeed which munch Adreno 225...Go Sammy..

If it aims to be a benchmark buster it should aim to beat that crap out of the new upcoming and better SoCs. Though powerful, Mali-400 is old already.
