Bend_Yer_Lug, 02 Feb 2012Perhaps we Europeans prefere the touch screens to the out-d... moreI'm European and I loved my Milestone.

You're not the sharpest one are you?

In the case of the droid 4, you have a powerful 4" Android smartphone, with all it's features. Just as any other. However, it also features a great physical keyboard, and the is superiour to touch when it comes to writing.

Sure, touch-typing, swype etc is 'ok', but the qwerty still rocks.

In addition, when suring/writing on a plain touch-screen - there's no place to rest your fingers. Holding a qwerty-slider is far superior - thumbs on the keypad, the rest on the back cover and the edges in your palm.

It feels, and works, great.

I now have the RAZR, and just as with others using same type - plain touch - I wish I had some place to hold my phone more easy, without always having my finger(s) lifted from the screen - action keys.

Anonymous, 03 Feb 2012Are you sure you didn't read the RAZR's manual? :p Droid... moreMy bad :p

    Battery is un-removable.

One can remove the back-cover to insert sim and SD card, but not remove the battery.

Bend_Yer_Lug, 02 Feb 2012Perhaps we Europeans prefere the touch screens to the out-d... moreWhy qwerty is outdated? And when did the Europeans come out with the first touchscreen phone?

Motorola started with a "PDA" backpack attached on a StarTAC, and started the touchscreen with A1688.

And can you type as fast using touchscreen vs. qwerty? Why don't you try to use touch screen instead of keyboard for your desktop at work or home?

Perhaps we Europeans prefere the touch screens to the out-dated "qwerty" phones that fail everytime?!

[deleted post]Probably due to the 2G days, the airtime in US proved to be quite expensive, and people started to text a lot. (2G phones like Motorola Karma QA1 already has qwerty keyboard)

Also US mostly only uses English, (although many also "speaks" Spanish) European countries are rather diversified. Germans use German, French use French, British use English.

fewer posts hint that there are no jealous fanboys to baffle around with samung is great, apple is great stuff.. Good for Motorola.
at the same time , i guess they have to expand their marketing and sales on global level, which needs an exquisite design ( they are doing good job with droid & MAX series though) after sale support and pricing.
