Since James Watt invented steam machine the world changed completely to a brand new shape.
Some things are better some are worse but overall experience is great but still missing many things which were here in past and now are gone.

20 years ago old 3310 Nokia could last 10 days easy on a single charge of a less than 1000 mAh battery.
Today we pray for a one day lasting phone on a battery just from morning till evening.
I miss the old times where we had just some call cabin on the street and thats it.

In reality, it's the thickness and organization of the parts inside, along with software optimization, that usually dictates how big a battery will be. As we could see on the S10 Plus compared to the S9 Plus, the S10 Plus has a bigger battery while still being thinner due to the fact that the fingerprint scanner and camera arrangement gave more space.

Phones get bigger and bigger every year.
Current note 10 series are almost 7 inch big compared to note series many years ago which were just about 5,3 inch in size.
But the battery increased much less than screen its self.

Second, Apple doesn't go with more than 1A simply because they don't want to put a fast charger. iPhones will probably explode if, say at 10A, but so will pretty much any other phone, not just Apple

Even my car has USB C ... moreWell I have laptop with usb-c, but there are many cheaper laptops still sold without. But home I have several chargers, also usb sockets on wall but none of them is usb c. Even every phone what you will buy nowadays has "only" standard usb port.
Do not understand me bad, I find it as good idea for future, but it will be too complicated for many users now ...
try to find usb c fastcharger now online ... 99% of search result is with standard usb port ...

I really dislike when company robs their customers.
I run a phone shop in my county with 38 stores across the country and opening like 2-3 every year.
I rather sell on discount than dont sell at all.
If i offer discount i have a guarantee the customer will return just bbecause the bought for much better price usualy 20% from initial price and even with discount i still earn some money.
Thats my policy and all my employee works the same.
But theses companies like apple or Samsung dont give discounts.
Samsung does the dscounts but only when initial boom for brand new device expires then they lower the price to start new boom.
But selling with 20% discount and have small profit is better than selling for 500% overprice rob customers and laughing on their faces.
Honestly i can guarantee you if ll customers would know there is 500% increase in price from what phone should cost like 75% wont buy and grab different brand.

it is a joke, there are very few people which has USB-C charging device! (I guess very close to zero in %) everyone is using standard USB port and apple will use USB-C port. Even some laptops doesnt have USB-C port nowdays. imagine that you have some usb socket on the wall for charging usb device, you cant now use it for charging ipnoe with new cables, because those will be USB-C to Lighting :)
And I guess they will not allow to use old cables (standard USB to Lighting) anymore. LOL
