Nokia 1 gets Android Pie Go update

End of October, still no Android 9 Go for my Nokia 1.
I spoke to Nokia customer service, not only are they clueless that this exists for the Nokia 1, they told me to send my phone for repair to fucking Hungary and it came back with absolutely nothing done about the OS, but they replaced parts on the phone despite nothing being wrong with it at all! They replaced the motherboard and speakers and other things even though I did not report any physical faults.
Nokia is the WORST COMPANY IN THE WORLD THAT I HAVE EVER HAD TO DEAL WITH IN TERMS OF CUSTOMER SERVICE/SUPPORT AND I WORK IN IT!

It's now October, I have a Nokia 1, no Android 9 Pie...

Although the initial release allegedly took place on 25 June, 2019, as of 9 July, the Pie GO update has not reached all Nokia 1 phones. I'm wondering how long the roll-out took for each of the other Nokia models. Are they perhaps staging it by sub-model? (My wife and I have the TA-1079 single SIM version still running Oreo 8.1)

My Nokia 1 received it last week. The update is great, but there is a bug which resets the animations back to 1x if they're set to .5x or 0x in developer options. It happens even if the "disable animations" is enabled from Accessibility options.

But they have just announced Nokia 2 will not get Pie what a crud company no sense what so ever.

If a phone with 1gb of RAM and a cheap Mediatek processor can be updated, every other brand has no excuses

I updated my 2.1 about 2 months ago. Android 9 go for these entry level phones isnt that bad of an experience but then again these are just entry level phones.
