And of course they wont announce that the pop up mechanism were their idea right, of course they need to pay the royalties to the company that manufactured or made the idea. The companies who make legal fight in court are the ones who happen to make some copies of a certain idea without the permission to the maker of the idea.

I also don't have an iPhone as a daily driver. I'd take build quality over specs. Ever heard of this Indian guy who burnt his leg from a Redmi Note 4 exploding? You can break a Xiaomi with your hands which is stupid, phones are obviously going to flex under pressure but Xiaomi have failed almost every single bend test by JerryRigEverything. JRE praises Nokia a lot for their structural rigidity. With the cheap material Xiaomi use, it could be difficult for their phones to last a few years.

Its not wrong to copy as such.
Wrong is, to not invest enough time to make it look different.
After all, most products nowadays look somewhat the same.... whether its phones, motorcycles, cars, laptops, etc. with some special ones going in for a unique look or identity.

Only samsung and apple are always on the headlines for patent infringement and all similar things? Means Xiaomi is very innovative the baked their own menu that may work similarly to others but it is technically different in design.

It has the greatest camera for the money but otherwise was not so good.
The main issue was the firmware, it was ugly, uncomfortable and had compatibility issues. I was forced to flash a community firmware, something that hadn't been needed on other phones for years.
There were some hardware quality issues as well (sound buttons dangling, "mi" letters falling off) but those were minor issues compared to the abysmal firmware.
Oh, and it had no water protection (which was ridiculous for a flagship) so I was forced to be extra careful with it... then one day it finally got some rainwater and died, it wasn't even 1 year old, what a waste of money.
I'm not going to buy one again. They have a great bang for the buck if you don't go out much and if you either have very low standards when it comes to firmware or are ready to spend your time tinkering and reflashing. I value my time and comfort, and the reliability of my phone, over savings, so Xiaomi is not a good option for me.
