Dazzler, 21 Aug 2019Y9 definitely offer better specs than Y7 for about the same... moreThanks and by Y9 I actually meant Y9 Prime 2019
Nova series is exciting but Nova 5 is currently not available in my country so isn't Honor 9X and there rumored price is disasterous and beyond my budget
I checked prices and specs and Y9 Prime, Nova 3i, Honor 8X and P30 Lite are in the same range out of these P30 Lite (24MP) and Y9 Prime are most complete to me I am just worried but long term usage as I asked a few retailers and they adviced against Huawei (people here are all in on OPPO)
I just need that it's a good phone for the price and will last atleast 2 years with at least one major update

Anonymous, 21 Aug 2019Same here, been using P10 Plus and it sucks.Idk what in the world you're on about. How could you agree to that? The Huawei P10 Plus, although technologically lacking nowadays, can still keep up with the newer flagship phones. This is due to continuous support from Huawei. If you used Sony, like I used to, Sony not only uses old technology for their phones, they use old technology and still charge you expensively. And with every new model they push out, they soon so supporting your phone. They stopped supporting my Sony phone 14 months after the initial launch. The P10 Plus is easily 30 months old and is still getting updated. Furthermore, the UI for EMUI is cleaner than that of Sony's. For a long time I used to be a Sony fanboy but when I got the Huawei P10 Plus, I've never missed Sony ever again.

Anonymous, 21 Aug 2019Don't get me wrong, Huawei flagship devices are great but a... moreCare to elaborate more on your claims of the following? Am really curious.
1. Why is EMUI "junk"?
2. Why do you say "Kirin processors are not my first choice because Snapdragon is just a lot more and more focused on by developers"? In what sense does it has more 'focus'? What apps that can run on Android Snapdragon phones that cannot be run on Android Kirin or even Android Exynos phones for that matter? What exactly is missing?
I have used / have access to Samsung, Oneplus, Huawei, iPhone and LG phones, all of them flagships and EMUI is one of the better skin out there today. Oneplus & iPhone is fast and can withstand the test of time very very well. It remains smooth after 2 years of updates and use. The P10 today also remains smooth, though slightly less when compared to Oneplus and iPhone. Samsung deteriorates with time, but its latest revamp of their One UI may be different. Time will tell. LG is daa best. Shit when you purchase it, gets shittier when it ages.

LG Superfan, 21 Aug 2019Thanks. I assume you have a Huawei phone, if you do can you... moreY9 definitely offer better specs than Y7 for about the same price. But to be honest, Y series from Huawei is just an entry level. Built quality will be cheap, lesser updates, same as any brand on that price be it Xiaomi, Samsung or Realme.
Nova series & Honor X series are better if u want to keep for a 2 years. Infact older Nova 3i is cheap now, & better specs than Y9. Honor 8x are the best price for the specs, let alone 9x (Pro version not worth the money). For 3 years support definitely u need more pricier device (at least Honor View 20, any vanilla version from the flagship). Eitherway, cheaper device, the lesser the support.
But for the money spent, u cant go wrong with Y9.
