Android allows applications direct access to your photos, too

This is similar to the security issue that was discovered on iOS few days ago.

This does not make sense. SD stands for SECURE digital. Google should have used the security features within the SD standard to get round this problem.

hey , 02 Mar 2012Why dont u reveal which app it is, so we dont dowload it!The devs created a dummy app to test if it was possible to happen with Android, it's not a specific app's issue.

(don't know if you already got an answer)

It says there that the app can access through your photos and can even upload it in the internet without you even knowing. How can you say "install apps carefully"? You don't even know what that app is in the first place.

Our phone is an extension of us and in it are vital information that defines our individuality. I love using the most advance technology this era has to offer but i don't like that advance technology browsing through my files whenever it wants to. Sometimes, you just have to draw a line.

In terms of security, Windows 7 and IE are more vulnerable(just like Android and iOS). In terms of developer support Microsoft's Windows 7 gets more support than Apple's Mac OS or Google's Chrome OS, which is switched in the phone world. Did I really have to explain that?

I've already experience that, when you take photos, it is automatically uploade in an account which we don't know, but i think that only happens you synchronize all you accounts in your android. Aside from that, there's an advantage uploading photos automatically, it'll be our PUBLICITY.

In my opinion Chrome is the best, as well as Windows 7. While on phone Android is the best. Followed by iOS and Windows Phone. Therefore Google is the best across the market.

Both iOS and Android give developers access to photos: IOS IS A BUG , ANDROID IS A FEATURE.
Apple has been informed of the bug and, though they have not said anything official (as they did for the contact list controversy) they are rumoured to be working on a fix

It's funny that the phone world and PC world are switched. In the phone world iOS+Android = Windows 7/Internet Explorer, while WP7=MacOS/Chrome in terms of security and developer support.

Anonymous, 02 Mar 2012i forgot: symbian is the most secure os!!!That's because nobody want's to develop viruses to it.

They all end the same way as computers. Don't do on your phone what you wouldn't on your computer.

Even worse on phones, if you lose your phone, someone can upload your embarasing pics on the internet the same way as a virus.
