htc has yet created another marvel of engineering and art....i mean if for example using the one S is a duel core and it has another core dedicated to the camera meaning it has 3 cores in total (meaning the one X has a total of 5 cores) and both have a dedicated chip for the camera....the ultimate thing to look at in image quality is dpi (dots per inch).....this will blow that pure view clean out the water. not to even mention a 28mm f20 lense.
remember....Mega Pixels effect image quality only when there is a much larger screen (say 50 inch with the 41MP ) other then that.....its a waist.

AnonD-21645, 05 Mar 2012Oh dear oh dear, I think now every time GSMA posts picture ... moreThe 808 is by far the greatest device released in these years, what are you ranting about?
You use the phone for what it is, not for an update that may come 2 years from now, bringing you a slower UI, and 3 app widgets more.
You use to make calls, send sms, organize your contacts, take photos, and ocassionally browse the web.
WTF do I need apps for? I mean, seriously. I've only seen crappy apps that make fart noises (thousands of them), that turn your phone to a flashlight (put the display white), and all crap like that. Seriously? Are people all over these kind of things?
Gimme good hardware like this and I can snap some awesome videos and photos, and use my phone for what it is. A phone.

I love the picture showing a man kicking a ball (i guess) but I guess it's rather equal to the picture I've captured using my K850i cyber-shot, I kinda use a bit of editing at Picnic.com though, but just "Auto Fix"

here it is: (I shot it while riding a trike) ;)

I think the blurring effect produced at the background caused by focusing the subject proximal to htc's camera is also achieved by my K850i in that matter.. just my Opinion.. :P

rynn, 05 Mar 2012Not natural at all. Just some normal pics over contrast... moreIt's a shame because you can clearly tell that the sensor isn't bad.. although I expected more from the hype. Looks like it's they harmed their cameras the same way they harmed audio with the beats - wasting a fairly good hardware in order to appear appealing to an average 12 year old. It's not HTC's market. Now don't get me wrong, I like saturated colors and all.. but this is just too much, especially with the contrast.

Oh dear oh dear, I think now every time GSMA posts picture samples from ANY manufacturer, the Nokia fanboys are going to come in and start blowing raspberries and mooning and doing all the things that childish fanboys do...

Let's be honest here, there's no doubt that the 808 has a great sensor and will take amazing pictures, but it has to be tempered with the fact that it's on probably the worst handset to come out this year or last...

It's rocking a resolution that is maybe one or two up from an etch-a-sketch and is being powered by an OS that is likely to be no more in a year or two (apart from being on very low-end handsets)... which means... it's all very well being able to take good pictures, but if it doesn't have the wealth of apps of any of the big three OSs OR a resolution that means surfing the web, etc. is blocky and cumbersome...

Which phone would YOU rather get?

Having said that, epic fail on the part of HTC not having a radio or expandable memory on the One X - "X" is presumably for all the things it doesn't contain... and also HTC camera have ALWAYS been terrible... especially low-light flash..

I'd say Sammy and Sony are the two best camera-phone options out there (and of course the iphone 4S) and overall - they will provide more than enough picture quality for the majority of users, and a great phone to boot... and not one that looks like it's been made by TOMY...

A company that has a name like cough medicine shall not be in the consumer business. So far HTC has never surprised with new or nice Techology. MeeTo in nice design is just not enough to be cool...

HTC, you'd better learn from Nokia on how to make a turnaround....

look guys to be honest i dont think any cam phone can beat 808 for a looong time( may be the N8 still rules), but every mobile company have the right to try to develop and try to put something decent out in the market.

Its like this some phones have a better OS, Some can cater for better apps and some RULEs with camera never to be beten and life goes on.....!
