This is what exactly people want, slim, fashionable tiny laptops to do their office stuff anywhere, no one cares about your graphics card with more than 2gb memory or bulky generic laptops for 300 euros. That is the reason Microsoft surface laptops and macbooks selling so well, cause they look great and are tiny, for ladies or businesman to carry. The only person who can carry about graphics cards and other stuff are only gamers and some video editors or graphic designers, which is not majority, you welcome.

For that any laptop worth 200 is good enough no need to waste 1500 on a device with simmilar or equal specs of a 300 eur device.
    Every laptop is portable.
Even the heaviest one which is Predator X21 with hefty 8 killos and own box. It came with own designated case.

You know that having tons of luggage for your PC when traveling is a bit off.
Laptop is much more versatile this way.
And your comment was completely stupid.
        Ever heard of Predator X21???
No then google it and watch how a proper gaming laptop will looks like.

The lack of memory is a pretty substantial bottleneck. Also, Intel's gen 11 iGPU has matched AMD's APU processors in "leaked" benchmarks. It supports 4k HDR at 120Hz. 5k at 60 Hz. Obviously not rendering 3D graphics, but the connectivity support compared to that outdated Nvidia low end GPU is a major plus.
I wonder if Samsung quoted the wrong external GPU because the one they mention doesn't make sense for a laptop that'll cost upwards 2,000 dollars.

I must say that blue & silver colouring scheme looks gorgeous as heck, but I'm even more impressed with the reverse wireless charging on the trackpad.

Surface form factor is better for tablet and for productivity laptop. FHD is good only for video

So the Ion is for people who don't really need a convertible touch screen laptop and pen support. The inclusion of discreet Nvidia graphic card and Thunderbolt port sounds nice though.

mooox, 29 Oct 2019It's laughable to think that someone buys a laptop for game... moreI would. I once borrowed my friend's Surface Book 2 15" i7 to play Forza Horizon 4 since he also played that game. For what is basically a detachable tablet, it runs beautifully well in 1080p setting. I initially thought of making my own custom PC rig, but I scrapped that idea since then. That Surface is definitely in my to-buy list.

Zion45, 29 Oct 2019As usual no one gives a fuck about affordable pcThe real big question is how affordable is affordable? Cheap doesn't mean affordable. The price is cheap, but you got super low-end integrated CPU with typical 768px screen and probably HDD.

If one buys it for Gaming then that person has to be willing to spend over 550$ more for an eGPU.

That dedicated GPU option sounds quite bizarrely outdated for a laptop like this. An external 2GB Nvidia budget graphics card that barely outperforms Intel's integrated Gen11 GPU? Why would you want a 2GB graphics card with a 16GB Core i7?
                                        Cool display, though.
