Only 12mp for the others... Large um or not.. If it's not 2um or more 12 is too low!
And then downgrading the ultra wide to 12mp for the most expensive one. Come on.

And can crop the live image more to 100x.. But now I thinking even don't know what hybrid zoom actually is.. Get some idea at first before telling someone.

As Morsel already told you, your marketing degree won't help you understand the real issue being discussed here.

If it were a camera they wouldn't highlight the digital Zoom. Rumors are like this because Oppo and Huawei advertised the Zoom this way. Though I believe Samsung won't do this, specially printing 100x zoom on the back. This ain't Samsung.

So far I'm digging the dual tone design..
And as for 100X zoom I don't really care..
But I sure hope they put something else..
Like space zoom or ultra zoom or 108MP..

If Samsung wants to act like cool hope they add a serious price.
For example price compatible with Pocophone 2.

As it's reported that that their next flagship will be able to capture 100x (hybrid or digital) actually! If it is can't so then your points would have value.. Small design change from what we have seen in previous leaks, but looks a lot better.
Hope that other Samsung's devices will have something similar.

Nice Guy, 21 Jan 2020I've my point! But you're looking completely clueless! If t... moreAs I explained in my previous comment, due to the structure of Bayer filter, the detail improvement using software algorithms is limited to ~2x in the best case scenario. So in most cases anything beyond the zoom factor of the telephoto lens times 2 should be considered as a pure digital zoom (In this case, 20x zoom is the maximum "hybrid zoom" Samsung could claim, given that they would use some sort of super res image processing). Therefore 100x on S20 is not a hybrid zoom, it's purely digital, just like P30 Pro's ridiculous 50x zoom.

"Mass people won't have any issue of your thinking"
The biggest problem with the misleading advertising is that for most people it doesn't look or sound misleading, so a very large number of people who don't know the background will be influenced as a result, thanks for making my point clear.

"Samsung doesn't marketing fake like Chinese at least and gimmicks like Apple"
But you're defending what potentially could be classified as a misleading advertisement.

Nick Tagataka, 21 Jan 2020Then is it ok for you if I write it 200x or 300x instead of... moreI've my point! But you're looking completely clueless! If they write 101x zoom on back I will must say that'll be a fake marketing when the digital/hybrid zooming is capable of 100x before shooting.. Because I don't say useless much like you!

They aren't misleadin... morePutting "100x" wording on a phone body strongly would strongly imply to people who sees the phone that it has a 100x lossless zoom and not some uselessly low resolution crop from 10x telephoto lens, genius. Any company with a basic ethical sense wouldn't be even bothered to think about doing this.

The Last Oracle, 20 Jan 2020Not really. So obviously the same applies here, but IF Samsung happened to put "100x" wording onto the camera bump, that would be a whole new level of misleadingness and simply unacceptable IMO. I believe Samsung won't make such a stupid mistake, but I'm arguing for the sake of debunking some people in this comment section who are trying to defend such an act by a company

"smartphones can easily up-res photos for much higher MP and much clearer details"
"high Res Modes from Olynpus/Panasonic/DJI can easily be introduced on smartphones"
Due to how the Bayer filter is configured, the improvement in the effective resolution of the image will be limited to ~2x at best. Google's Night Sight or Huawei's super-res image processing are surely better than whatever the handheld high res modes camera companies developed in the past, yet neither companies have figured out how to produce a usable image at 10x digital zoom.
