I owned NOKIA phones since 1998 and i loved them, I currently have an N8 but will very soon switch to S3. Why ? because NOKIA phones are wonderful when you use them for the first 2-3 months then they become slooow, very slooow which kills me. Nokia is still manufacturing phones with single core and 512 MB RAM, whyyyyy ? Others are introducing Quadcores and has 1 GB RAM, so why is NOKIA so behind ? Plus i don't like windows os for a mobile. Samsung along with android kicks ass !

Yes, samsung ... high quantity, low quality ... all in plastic... low audio qualities... a wide range of models, but none is achiving nokia or apple.. c'est la vie...

Scoop, 28 Apr 2012Spot On mate! :)Wow just because samsung is in the rise now,you (samsung users)forget where you stand.HTC,Sony and Motorola is not out of the competition YET.yes they might not have the best design or a regular update but still they have many royal customers around the world.they are not looking for powerful overpriced phones,but a regular singled core phone that fills their daily needs.

sammy fan, 28 Apr 2012though iam a big sammy fan but my respect for Nokia is big.... moreI agree that nokia is a good brand. But what is ur basis for saying that it isnt sammy n just android. There are more than 10 android manufacturers along with samsung yet only sammy sold 44 million(nokia sold 12 million) smartphones and 50 million dumbphones(nokia sold 70 million). Htc, moto, sony sales r no where near sammy's smartphone sales even though they r running android as well. Samsung may not give best designs but its performance, build etc. have been excellent n thats why ppl buy their phones.

The only thing constant in our world is change and for those who do not adopt to the changes are left behind. The changes here are being dictated by the users not by the companies... yes the voice of the consumer is the gauge that should be used by well established companies. One cannot be so complaisant once they have reached the pinnacle, they should strive more and surplass their previous achievements

beside sales statistics and following new trends like sheeps we must look closer at what we want indeed. i am an ex-owner of all nokia 8-series since the beginning because design and materials are very important to me:8810,8850,8910,8800 scriocco,carbon,arte. in the last years i have nokia 6700 and the last iphone 4. after iphone 4 i bought samsung galaxy s2 at the strong advice of a friend wich is a geek user and was the worst experience of my life. i sell galaxy s2 after one week and now i have nokia n9, the only one mobile wich is more beautiful then iphone, in my opinion, of course. samsungs and all the rest seem to me like toys for teens, not more. for everyday use i have nokia c5-5mp classic because touch screen is very annoying to me. itook and i keep nokia n9 just for design. the only apps i have installed are: nfs shift,gt racing,skype,voice recorder pro,fm radio and internet radio. that's all

though iam a big sammy fan but my respect for Nokia is big.I know Nokia is humane,ethical and a transparent brand and will stay so while sammy is probably opposite of this.
Sammy deals in tabs,cdma and gsm every thing while Nokia deals only in GSM
I know for sure it is android which is selling and not sammy.
Sammy has failed miserably with bada and WP7.5.....HAD THE BRAND SAMSUNG BEEN SO STRONG THEN WUD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO SELL WHATEVER THEY WANTED.

It is good if they release atleast one entry and mid range phone with dual sim like galaxy y, ace, s2.... And don't forget the price, they should release phones priced below 10k and they should do this within Q4. Not to come late to competition like symbian anna and belle....

Symbian was the FIRST Os for smart phones.
Once, I mean during 2003... LG, SAMSUNG, SONY and other companies released their smart phones on Symbian Os. But no one purchased them! All went for Nokia! So they had to stop their production!
Same is the case with the Windows Os. Many companies release phones on Windows Os. But Nokia stood first in selling Window Os mobiles(according to the recent survey)
Just imagine if Nokia released phones on Android Os! All the other companies will surely go bankrupt. But I pray the God... Nokia should never choose Android! Many companies copy Nokia. But Nokia should never copy others! It will be a great insult! Nokia will surely stand number First in smart phone industry with it's own Os(es). I bet!

samsung has android but its not unique for only this company, many company use android. But symbian is only for nokia. So wait and see in future.

To Comeback in the market, nokia have to release a WPphone every week Just Like Sammy,Like "Nokia Lumia Mini" only 90 cm phone to compete against phones like Samsung Galaxy Y,galaxy mini or Xperia mini. They Sould Flood The Market With Cheap Windowsphones to Let PPL know that How Cool is WP7!!

HTC and Nokia will bounce back. Nokia is going with WP that good but dropping MeeGo/Maemo was biggest mistake.
