Latest Galaxy S III picture points towards a 4.8-inch display

Although the initial rumors suggested that it will have a 4.65-inch display the latest picture suggests otherwise.

Good that your screen size grows bigger but the PPI grows lower compared to the Sony Xperia S, your colours sucks all time which can spoilt the eyes in the long run.

I hope it does have a physical home button. just like the note and almost all other Samsung phones in the last 8 or so years. it's so much nicer to use the home button to light up the screen to unlock rather than the lock button

There were always more feature packed better phones. It just was always more over hyped than anything else on this planet. It wasn't even an apple design. Its all bought and stolen. I don't know how somethings that's a copy could be the first. The Galaxy on the other hand was a much bigger point in the road map of way more invention and innovation. It just wasn't as socially over hyped then. Its fairly hyped now but for a reason. Since the release no phone has been able to compare in all around awesomeness and how advanced it was. Some phones have certain features or because they come out way later get some better hardware, but nothing until like 6 months to a year later.

Practically it is huge size for Smartphone and i called it Note Category. Btw 2.8" to 4.3" is idle and enough for Smartphones. SG1 and SG2 has idle size...

S3 will be the next benchmark device in the market other manufacturers will compete with..

I just worry about the width. My SGS is 6.4mm wide and it feels like any wider would be a pain to hold and operate one-handed. Actually, 1mm or so thinner would be even better.

There were plenty of phones out with more advanced features than the iphone. The iphone is the most overhyped phone on the planet. excelent display size.. i get a razr with 4.3 and is good but something is missing, and now i have a note, and is so big... i think that corect display with funcionallity may be are between 4.5 and 4.8... with an ergonomic design like galaxy nexus or nokia n9

Also I have compared my SGS2 to some of my friends iPhones when they comment that the phone is too large only for them to realize it is almost the same size but with less area wasted because of the bezel... I mean I can understand why someone would want to have a small PHONE but not a small SCREEN so what's the point of having a 3.5" screen if the bezel's total area is almost as large as the screen's area?

The bigger the size the better the phone is. But we do know that to big is difficult to put into the pocket and get out. for that I am sure 4.8 inch will be perfect. I have note and galaxy s 2. I can never use my galaxy s 2 since I bought the note. I just don't understand the guys who can still use the iphone. It is not the size for nowadays phones. Come on guys, get out of the jail. 100mm lets say in 16:9 screen ratio means 53.25mm width, do Pythagoras and you will get 4.48 inch diagonally not 4.8, you should change that
