In North America, South America, Europe, Middle-East/Africa, and Asia-Pacific all reports of decreased sales of mobile devices. The only Region that posted any increase was china, and lets face it, China is behind on the curve when it comes to trends, they all believed that nokia was still a high end device back in 2010.
Price of Converged Mobile devices(smartphones) decreased from 186 euros to 156 euros, indicating that a very very large portion of the smartphones sold were cheap low end devices. Face it, Nokia was losing ground long before Elop took helm, you fanboys are just blaming him for being CEO during this time.

im an android user.a question to all android fanboys.
1.do you expect people to buy android by bosting about it and putting hate comments.here??they will hate andoid further more and stick to symbian/WP.
2.why there is so much hate to nokia,they introduced lot of tech,they brought cellphone to the masses and still have capable device(N9/808 pureview)
3.seriously android is not perfect,it has lot of flaws,with each update they remove some bugs and add a lot more.i had updated my s2 to ics but due to some freezing and battery issue i reverted to cynogenmode ics.
4.windows phone devices are good better than iphone.id put money on WP rather than iphone.
5.when nokia fanboys say wp8 is coming they are not boasting about some cooked up dream project.i have read wp 8 leaked features and its amazed me.if its good ill put my money on a lumia wp8 device rather than a galaxy s3.

#FACT, NOKIA barely sold a total of 600,000 Lumia devices for Q4 2011 even though they were giving away free xbox 360's in some markets.
I see that you mentioned that Nokia N8 sold 3 million devices in one quarter, care to provide any data? The only article that suggest anything even close is from one source, a FINNISH analyst. Not IDC, not Nokia, no one else confirms this.

Gsmarena was once home to Nokia fanatics like yourselves, now you'll find a lot of former Symbian fanboys have converted to other platforms where Nokia failed them. Don't you think if any OEM of Android showcased their Gingerbread 2.3 variant running a single core 800 mhz processor, they would advertise it as being buttery smooth too, for which I'll have you know, is as smooth, if not smoother than that Lumia 610 or whatever it's called. Do you know what smooth is before even posting a nonsensical argument, multitasking between apps all whilst playing games that require a beefy processor and browsing the web with downloads without any jittery performance, something that your beloved OS lacks for now. Is that why WP8 will adapt dual core/multiple core platforms and leave your beloved dinosaur operating system that is 7.5 out in the cold without an update as your handset will be rendered obsolete and unable to run smoothy the WP8 experience. Something which Elop said that highly contradicts his original statement of there being no need to adapt multicore. Android may not be perfect with updates but at least I know i can play with ICS optimised apps with my Gingerbread powered phone as smoothly as I can with ICS. Oh, and take your cheap advertising junk off this website, lol!

If u look at december 2010 , n8 sold 4 mil in 3 months , but after elop's announcement ,its sales went down.so its nokia losing and others picking up the bits fallen.Samsung sells galaxy y at same price as asha series , but the former is a smartphne. But asha is nt .so in smartphne sales that helps a lot.

The sales figures suggest otherwise, Nokia loser. Nokia declining, Apple and Samsung rising. Hell, even Huawei's weakest handset can outperform the symbian flagship that is the 808 pureview. You are what you are, a deluded Nokia fanatic that has no grasp of the market and reality. Yes, Symbian, like Nokia, was once strong and almighty, however now, it is a shell of it's former self with even Nokia abandoning it for Windows Phone. If Nokia had stuck with MeeGo, maybe there would have been more Developer interest for the platform and Nokia itself wouldn't find itself in the impending position of being bought out by Microsoft for being an absolute failure. Nokia has the technology and research, but refused to ultimately bring anything to market that wasn't a half baked and half finished product. Success stories, 3310, 6310i and Nokia N95. That was then, this is now.

WP is power hunger CPU and has the worst battery life in GSMarena battery tests and its dead boring with nothing special
