seriously!!!!!! yes android has much more apps than symbian but if nokia changes its own os it will be like any other phone i had 7 nokia phones till changed to htc and gotta say in speed and performance symbian is much better i had e7 256 mb ram and now htc evo 3d 1gb ram if it isn't for the android market quickly switch back to nokia
and i am sure that nokia will take the lead soon just remember nokia was the best since since ever and it will be again

I'd like to see some sort of chart that shows the number of patents as well as those that are in use, as anyone who keeps up with these lawsuits will know many patents are so vague that they hold no weight.
No, more patents DOES NOT mean more innovations.

I never consider history more important than present... but history too has some weight..even i have respect for motorola and that company should never go into losses like today.

I recently dumped my Samsung S8000 due to its strange bugs like freezing in hot and humid air or poor email client and low connection speed and useless navigation system and etc. and went back to nokia without considering any other brand!! HTC, samsung and etc. are all made in Chinese sweatshops and rushed to the market that's why they're cheaper, buggy and have more advanced futures than nokias on the paper!
I got a nokia 603 which is made in Hungary and it has a decent build quality. who is making phones in Europe nowadays??? I don't care about having a lot of free games or entertainment tools on android, I prefer having a piece of European engineering in my pocket that perfectly does what matters to me.
I dumped my NOKIA E51 and got the S8000 because it had a brilliant AMOLED display and at that time I thought that why doesn't Nokia use this technology. Now I know!!! AMOLED is not visible under sunlight! and that makes your phone useless outdoors!! Nokia postponed using this display technology until it came up with the polarized coating that made it visible under sunlight! that's the difference between European engineering and Chinese mass production of toys!

Agreed, we grew up watching nokia produce some genious overpriced devices that i could only read about, and now I dont care anymore. They deserved it.

I reckon nokia was in top position for all these years because of the feature phones (s40 series), secondly, smartphone users had no choice other than Expensive winmo and isolated BB, ( i am neglecting palm o/s)
I am still surprised why nokia is at number 3, Surveyers should revisit their data, it should be well below than the number 3 position.

The past is the past, if we are to use the past as the judge then we should all be praising Motorola. ;)
