Although, I will be buying vanilla devices (Pixels or iPhones) only hereafter.
Every OEM takes up their sweet time to cook their skin of Android.
OnePlus takes 1-2 months/Samsung takes 2-3 months for their flagships. And once a device gets a generation older, boy oh boy this wait gets further amplified to 3-4 months. The zeal is dead by then.

No other OEM except Google, OnePlus (and essential) is updating their 2017 phones. Samsung won't update Galaxy S8 or even Note 8 released in November 2017. LG hasn't even upgraded G7 which came in 2018 lol and Sony is just as bad as Samsung, except with more bugs.

The fact of the matter is, OnePlus offers the best OS update policy on android after Google Pixel phones. And people should expect more support from other OEMs considering the $1400 phone from Samsung will just receive 2 OS updates v/s 3 from OnePlus's phones which cost half as much.

          Goodjob oneplus keep supporting.

How is a phone released in November 2017 three years old in March 2020? Eight months is not a negligible amount of time in this industry.
It's only normal for it to get another update, it would be outrageous if it didn't. People really need to start changing their mindset and don't think they're being blessed if an OEM just does its job.

At least they care about consumer's money. Samsung only gives only 2 years of update to their $1000 phones
