Bring it on LG.Ensure to use appropriate CPU/GPU to utilise the 2 gigs. Gaming is another good area to utlise the extra space.

the lower half is supposed to be ips screen i have used iphone 4 and its ppi is higher than the s3. i found that the colours are dull on an lcd retina display. if ur watching a movie on it, it just remains a movie. super amoled on the other hand ,even on the low resolution s2 makes things come alive, a movie becomes immersive.

Stay away from LG... Phone department have no respect with clients. They sell specifications, but in the real world their phones are so far from promise ... actualization delay too much, phone hangs, poor client support. Put on google and you will see the truth. So many complains about it, goo whith HTC and SAMSUNG. Friend advice from whose do not waist time to try foolish others. Actualy proprietary of LG optimus 2X promissed to update android in 2Q of 2012 and until today nothing. I praid every day to somebody buy my phone to a get an samsung gt-9100 aka galaxy II.

If it has the S4, this would be my next phone. Looks and feels much better than the Galaxy S III or the One X.

well i think 2gb will definitely give lg an edge over s3 in multitasking department, provided of course that the processor is in the league of the s3's exynos. and the rgb display is definitely an option to consider, but i still feel that samsung might have a better display than this one inspite of pentile matrix. super amoled is the primary reason. but it intrigues me why lg hasnt announced the full phone specifications. i think this might be all that the phone has got. lg may be trying to steal the spotlight from s3 by revealing only the best part. but i am not sure how long thats gonna work.

Mobile OEMs are becoming ridiculous. What's the need of 2GB RAM in a phone? Did we utilize it fully? Why quad core?? For battery sucking. Dual core processor and 1GB RAM is enough for a mobile, at this time now. (It's my opinion).The OS should be make perfect and optimized. That's all. No apps or games currently utilize such resource. I hope Mobile OEMs should work on new technology of battery, which will last longer than current series of battery.

The only thing that even uses Dual Core at this moment is the Camera and Games and even still, it's not being truly utilized.
I like LG but I'll have to see more before I can say if I want this device or not.

LG always come out first with excellent hardware specs.
However, they failed to deliver on the software to maximise the usability of the hardware.
Apple and Samsung smart phones sell because the OS are user friendly.
My parents are 60+ and they each uses a Samsung tablet because they only need to switch on the gadget and then navigate by remembering the icons and touching them.
Now all their friends are following suit and are buying tablets (no need to use glasses) and playing games using BT connection.
LS should just concentrate more on improving the software aspects of their smart phones.

Why couldn't Samsung come up with this design for the Galaxy S3 .The S3 is a hardware beast but it's ugly as hell .
