04 May, 2012
The remaining 1 percent was nabbed by HTC. Everybody else reported a loss in the first quarter.

There is no denying that the iphone is good. In fact it is as good as it gets!!

Live with it! People don't like products that depreciate! And Apple products always maintain their value.

Nokia products were once like that. Unfortunately not anymore... I would never walk in a business meeting holding a modern Nokia! Unless it were a meeting with the mafia...

Apple iPhone 4S is 3 times the cost of Nokia N8. Yes, its a better device overall, but three times, are you kidding me??

        N8: 17,000 INR,
iPhone 4S: 54,000 INR (for 16 GB version, India),

So, if anyone wants to know where your iPhone 4S money is going, look at that chart posted in the article. There your money goes!

I've never seen such a shameless company which is misusing the love of its customers to charge any damn price and cheat them. No offence to fans though.

pucities, 06 May 2012htc is not even 1%. They're talking about "profits&quo... morenope actualy it just shows how good htc manages its bussiness.lets have a good example: nokia is 3rd largest mobile company in terms of revenues but they never expected a drastic drop in feature phone sales they produce more than the demand(a loss), they do R&d (you will pay royaties to researchers and labor cost) that cost millions but do not produce good revenue nokia N9 and lastly to much man power for shrinking demand fo phones.

Apple makes the most profit in spite of not being the number one mobile manufacturer. That sums up Apple's policy of over-pricing but it also shows that their elite business model works - if you don't have an iPhone you don't have an iPhone. I don't buy into that - I have a Sammy - great service in India. I hope Sam maintains its business policy of being the wannabees' phone - because I want to have what iPhone has and more for less price.

Of course Apple is making the most profit, their overpriced fashion-branded garbage is manufactured in slave pens.

This doesn't include the Lumia 900 and Lumia 610 (budget phone) just recently released. Bring the Lumia 610 world wide and Lumia 900 to the rest of the US carriers then they will do fine.
