is it true that HVGA screen limits the use of certain apps in a phone....??

It's obviously aiming at the market for a small pocket phone, possibly someones first, or just at the low price end. If it had everything (slim, bigger processor, bigger memory...etc) then what would be the point in buying a HTC One V/S/X?? I think it looks pretty cool and I'm sure it will do as well as the Wildfire S did if it comes in at the same price.

Big, big disappointment. There are no quality changes or new practical solutions. It is not thiner (galaxy and iphone are boath under 10mm, W. still 12mm!) no CPU improvement, screen could be larger, because there is so much space around. There is no reason why we should buy a new HTC Wildfire, cause, the changes are so small, that you won't benefite from them.

              Thanks GsmArena

Would have made sense to name this phone something like One Mini as it is near enough exactly the same as the One V but smaller? Or does this not make sense?

Htc,Samsung or any other company for that matter should produce phones with at least WVGA resolution of display rather than HVGA, as this limits the number of apps that can be used.Taking the xperia ray for example has a small screen but WVGA resolution, which produces excellent image quality and still maintaining a great price comparable to the htc wildfire s and nokia 603.

The point is that it's significantly smaller.

pretty decent specs for a low cost phone....only drawback is screen and internal storage that 4 gigs memory claim is a sham its only 1 gigs just like htc one V...!!

                                Instead of desire c,
You should remove the front camera, reduce the screen to 3.2', keep the 5mp or replace it with 3.2mp cam with led, name it in wildfire series and price it below 8k.... Good Competitor for galaxy y....

You've one v with this specs except the image processor....

Most affordable droid from HTC with 2009 Specs-MHz clocked processors still exist?!-except ICS will cost the same as a Galaxy S Advance. And ironically HTC still wonder why their revenue is on a downward spiral? Crazy pricing. In my country the HTC Flyer costs twice as much as a Galaxy Tab 7.0.And the flop, mediocre HTC Sensation? Let not even go there. One word:Ridiculous.

HTC (much like Samsung) has this thing for making affordable Android phones. Hits all markets at once.

Would be a smart move, considering not everyone wants (or can afford) a Quad/Dual core, 8mp monster with 4.5+ inches of screen.
