11 May, 2012
Samsung says the PenTile AMOLED matrix is more reliable than RGB, that’s why the Galaxy S III uses it.

nt gud enough excuse
They re probably gonna release another flagship later this year after apple releases the new iphone.
So customers should be given the best available. People who can afford this dont use it for long

well, it s one of the disadvantages of oled. if they were not organic-based, it would last longer, like ordinary led lights.
one must know for what they want to use the phone. since i read a lot of pdf and chm books, personally, i prefer the old lcd screens that use less battery with white colours and doesn t suffer from burn in

i hope there will still be this kind of screen in future mid-high phones...

My god can everyone stop moaning about the phone. It looks amazing and I'm getting one cause A. its better than the one X and B. I'm due an upgrade. Even with all your complaints Ill still take its bigger battery and Micro SD slot over every other phone.

Samsung should have made the screen smaller like 4.5" with same resolution and smaller body, and with higher ppi, there would have been less complaints.

Excuse, since the phone can swap battery why worry about battery might not last after 2 years when you can just go buy a new one and probably more juice too. Samsung should make a battery last as long as razr maxx.

I have been using my Galaxy S2 (rather heavily) for about 8 months now.

There is a very noticeable strip at the top where the status bar normally is. Because the status bar tends to be black, the pixels there lose brightness slower than the rest of the screen.

Compared to my friend's Galaxy S1, there's no such problems. So I see what Samsung is talking about.

I bought an Xperia Arc last year in may and even though it's not in the top I'm keepind it until next year in autumn at least. People don't always change their smartphones yearly, unless they're snobs.
