02 April 2020

I'm still buying Intel-based laptops because they're very reliable. You broke boys can stick to AMD for all I care lol.

Anonymous, 02 Apr 2020So why 80% current gaming laptops are using intel chip?because AMD wasn't good and now it is and you will see next gen laptops supporting AMD as the 4900H is more power effecient and makes less heat than I7 9750H and even competing with some i9 laptops in a 14inch thin laptop.
That's why AMD is now better than intel.

        AMD 4900HS for me ...
The Intel scam is strong with these new CPUs. The relative performances they quoted are against very old Intel CPUs, and using newer NVidia cards. Intel in laptops are dead, the only way they will survive is through kickbacks to laptop OEMs.

This going for something tottaly crazy but i rather will wait untill a 10mm or smaller chips will be released with same or better speeds and power.

Surpassing 5GHz by a couple hundred megahertz is not really an advantage over AMD as tests have shown they are rather equal in IPC even though Intel needs to boost clocks way higher to match compared to AMD topping out at 4.4ghz for the same speed. But hey gotta try and find something good out if them right

Rock, 02 Apr 2020Intel is the best for over all purpose use 1 pc. Intel is best for Spectre and Meltdown CPU security vulnerabilities.

T M , 02 Apr 2020How the hell is Intel still using 14nm chips? XDBecause Intel sat on their laurels upon the debut of their Core CPUs back in 2006, believing they decimated their competition (AMD).

Now look at Intel. They are head-scratching and ar$e-scratching, running around like headless chickens, totally bewildered and perplexed at the rise from near-death of AMD.

AMD are kicking Intel good and proper. Respectz to AMD.

All Intel, the monopolistic flocking bar steward, can do is lower their exorbitant CPU prices.

Over the past decade, Intel failed to invest in both 10nn silicon and sub-5W mobile chips, thinking their x86 14nm cash-cow would keep them profitable for decades to come. They are suffering the indignation of their arrogance by all the competition having either caught up with them, or in some cases surpassing them (e.g., TSMC, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company).

Hello Life, 02 Apr 2020what are you talking about? Lowe base speeds are always bet... moreOpen the performance monitor in your PC (W10) and click on the processor. You'll see the base clock speed and current clock speed. If the PC isn't running anything, the current clock speed will be lower than base clock speed. That should disprove your claims.

Those 5 Ghz won't do much if this thing once again clocks down immediatly.. Not to mention that high speeds don't mean much anyways.

Base speed is not the same as idle speed. Every modern chip will clock down at idle that's obvious. Base speed is the highest clock that you can get at designed TDP on a full typical load. For example on 10750H, 2.6 Ghz is the highest you typically get at 45W TDP on all cores full load. Ryzen 4900H on the other hand has 3.3 Ghz base speed on all cores.
