I hope HTC find out to be a real phone, and stay far away from the evils-. Google and microsoft "bandidos".

Glad to see that they're making smartphones again. I'd much rather support a Taiwanese company than a full-blown Chinese company any day.

well Qualcomm or not Qualcomm, I hope it comes with any other processor and not a SD660 or 665! after using phones with both processors and facing the freezing issue...I hope that this phones comes with a more advanced chipset. Are they not launching anything with 5G?

Will they upset Google if they make a better phone than Pixel, which isn't really that hard? Poor HTC shouldn't have let in the devil. Look what happened to Nokia after they let in Microsoft.

Sure, maybe this phone won't revolu... moreBut if they are in this situation is because they already offered lower hadware than competitors at a lot higher prices. And then they outsourced production and finally end renting their brand allowing cheap unknown brands sell their junk under the HTC brand... I'm even not sure now if this phone will be another one from a foreign manufacturer.
Sooner or later, if its released, we will discover what it is. And not, compete with flagships obviously not, because it's a mid ranger. At least, not for now.

Impossible to make devices like S10+, Xperia 1, iphone 11 pro, LG V50 and Mate 30 Pro with $450 retail price.

Sure, maybe this phone won't revolutionize the flagship market, but that's fine, HTC didn't go out there and said "we're back and we're taking on Sammy, we're coming in hot!". But that doesn't mean companies like Motorola, HTC and Nokia can't rebuild themselves in a few years, and revitalize the smartphone market which let's be honest is getting a little dull at the moment between Samsung, Apple and the Chinese flagships. More competition is better for everyone. Perhaps once the choice will be more abundant again, Samsung will stop treating its clients in Europe like fools, by selling them Exynos handsets and charging them more for it.

Pocophone F1, for example. But also some flagships still can have really good prices like Lenovo did with the Z6 Pro. Even Asus and Meizu. Lets see what prices they'll ask this year if they release some flagships.
