This will surely compete with LG L3, Samsung galaxy pocket ang Young (my choices when I bought phone last week). I end up with SE Xperia mini, for $150. My first android phone actually.

Xperia mini specs are better than this except for screen size and design I guess. I wonder how much is Xperia Tipo. Anyway Sony (Ericsson) mobile phones doesn't look cheap even if it is entry level smart phones. ;-)

The phone I bought back then was dual standby, either sim was active in receiving and making calls. Now if the report we are commenting on does not specify the phone has this feature and makes it clear that they are both not active, then I'm gonna take their word for it .Have a look a dual sim phones made for the chinese market by lesser known brands, have a read about the different capabilities and then understand why I made this comment, "dear".Your apology is accepted in advance.

Entry level android devices are simply run of the mill devices. Screen is harsh plus they are laggy. Android is best experienced on a high end big screen device.

Addy, 14 Jun 2012For me ... xperia neo v is the first smart phone to go for.... moreNo need to boast, dear. Some people go for Nokia Lumia 900 or Galaxy S3 for their first smartphone. Some others buy LG L3. Price matters here, dear. Xperia Tipo will be entry level phone, probably compete with LG L3, or Galaxy Pocket. Maybe a little bit more expensive but it will come with HVGA screen and ICS out of the box, something to consider.

All branded (nokia, samsung now sony also)dual sim phones come with dual standby. Means both sim active for incoming but for making call only one. To use another sim to make call you have to press the special switching button.

While you might be right, I simply cannot believe this.
For me there might be a reason in low numbers of sold Xperia Play handsets, because they drastically lowered its price every second month.
I checked my friend's 1GHz Xperia Ray, and it ran really smooth on ICS.
While on the other hand there is Scamsung with the same reply of performance issues, but they sold millions of SGS1 handsets worldwide.
